So I sitting here unbraiding Nannah’s hair so I can wash it and rebraid it for the week. I’m chewing gum because I chain chew. I chew gum like some people smoke. I chew all day long. I even need to have a stick after dinner. If I do not have any I crave it and become very grouchy. My DH hates it. He says it is because I pop it nonstop. I did not believe him until Tj told me he always knows when I am coming because he listens to the pops! So anyway, K.K. asks for a stick of gum. I say sure. About 10-15 minutes passes and she comes and asks for another stick. I am like, where is the gum you just had. She shrugs and say I don’t know. I lost it.
I said “what?” because I just know I did not hear her right.
She says, ” I lost my gum, can I have some more?” I stop unbraiding hair and look at her and she is dead serious. I asked how did you lose it. K.K. says “it was in my hand because I was eating chips and now it’s gone” So of course I am thinking, dang it!! We will never find it until I sit on it. While all this is happening Nannah is laughing so hard tears are running down her eyes. So I get all the kids together to start the gum search. No one finds it. I say forget it because it is lunch time. Next thing I hear is Jazz screaming, “ughhh”!!! She has found the sticky gum. On the side of a chip bag. And of course K.K. pulls the gum off the back, puts it in her mouth and now she says she can not eat lunch because she found her gum and it is good.
