In the past I have always hated change. If everything is going fine I like to leave it alone. We have been with the same phone and cell phone company for over 14 years. Well when Windows Vista first came out I just knew I would hate it. I had just got my Windows XP working perfectly on my desktop. I had heard all the horror stories and I did Windows Vista in my life. I had even put off buying a new computer because I didn’t want try it. But then I got into blogging very heavily and needed a reliable computer. My husband got me one for Valentine’s Day and I could not be happier.
When I first booted up my computer, I liked the new look. I am constantly switching back and forth between my desktop and the internet. With one click I can go directly to my desktop. I also like the fact that I can put more than 2 windows side by side. That really saves time when I am blogging and want to double check my facts. One of my favorite features is the Narrator. Narrator is a program that reads what is on your screen for you. I am a sucker for gadgets. My laptop came with the premium version of Vista which includes the Windows Media Center. For a movie fan like me it doesn’t get much better that.
Making the change from XP to Vista was not as hard as I thought. I discover new things everyday that makes the Vista experience great for me. So if you have not switched, go to your local electronic store and play with the computers. Then you will see that is nothing to be scared of.
