Life with a teenager

Let’s see in the last few months she has wanted: her hair cut like Rhianna, a boyfriend, highlights in her hair,a boyfriend, a third hole in her ear, a boyfriend, coach shoes and weave in her hair. And I am pretty much the meanest mom in the world because I said no to all. Boy I am glad I have thick skin, lol.

Wow – and I thought telling a 6 year old that we couldn’t glue her Hannah Montana wig to her head was tough. ..I guess what they say is true – little kids, little issues. . .big kids, big issue!

i think u should let her have a boyfriend because she may feel like she will have 2 sneak around and she is a teenager and maybe 2 her a boyfriend is not as big as it is 2 her than it is to you and just think maybe she will handle the “boyfriend” situation better than you thought.
I can see why youi said no to those coach shoes they are very expensive! Maybe letting her pay for half of it with her on money or even three-fourths will let her realizze she doesn’t really want those coach shoes shoes because she’ll see that you shouldn’t have to buy expensive shoes if she doesn’t want to help.

I am often told I am the meanest dad for not “giving in” as it seems alot of parents do now. Good to see there are more of us “meanies” AKA parents who say no out there.
