I always have fun reading how much gas costs in different parts of the country so I think this is a pretty fun post topic. I did a search for gas prices within a 10 mile radius. I was going to drive around to get pictures but I didn’t want to waste gas, lol.
At Citgo 4.4 miles away regular is $3.73
At Pantry 41 8.8 miles away regular is $3.69
At BP .62 miles away regular is $3.77
At Speedway .64 miles away regular is $3.77
We save money on gas by using our Pontiac Sunfire for errands and going to work because it does not burn as much gas as our Town and Country minivan. If we run out of something and need to run to the store my daughters usually walk because it is a few miles away. This summer we saved a lot on gas by buying our teenage daughter a buspass. She was able to go visit friends and the mall without us having to waste gas. She had a lot of fun finding her way around the city.
I even did a little research and the lowest price in 6 years was back in November 2003. Gas in my area was $1.29 a gallon. Boy were those the days. Back in the 90′s I worked at a gas station (yes, in my younger years I had lots of job) and I can remember when people would come in and get $2.00 worth of gas and that was normal. Well no more of that.

WOW…hard to remember gas was that cheap only six years ago. Gas here (PA) is about $3.55. We were cheering that it went below $3.50 last week. Our one family car is an expedition so major gas guzzler. Thought about trading it in but decided to have a car big enough for all of us, not much savings to be smaller as we can’t get much smaller…
I don’t think we will see the gas prices get that low again! I sure do miss it. Ours is about $3.40 right now. It’s better than the $3.80 we were paying. OUCH!
