For holidays meals I tend to cook a lot. I like to have leftovers so I won’t have to cook for a few days. For Thanksgiving and Christmas I make cornbread dressing with chicken breasts mixed in, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, fried corn, greens, honey baked ham, sweet potato pie, biscuits, chocolate pecan pie and german chocolate cake. Now I learned how to cook from my grandmother. This is the main reason why I only know how to make sweet potato pie three at a time. She doesn’t use recipes so I never figured out how to break it down to just make one. When she taught me how to make dressing she used chicken broth. Not the kind in the can but the actual seasoned broth you get when you boil chicken pieces and vegetable. I adopted that way at first. Then I started to put my chicken in a slow cooker before putting it in the dressing I would not have enough broth. So I switched to canned broth. I still had to season it and I always ended up wasting some which I hated. So when I got the Progresso Broth in the mail I could not wait to try it out. A big plus was no can. I don’t have long fingernails so I could never open the cans. And no more wasted broth in the garbage which is always good.
Progresso Broth is now available in a 32 ounce reclosable carton. The carton fit in my hand comfortably and made a big difference while cooking. I was able to measure how much I needed with no spilling. I was happy to find out that Progresso Broth has a nice flavor to it. Usually I would have to add my own seasoning to get the taste just right but not this time. Progresso Broth is not just available in the Chicken flavor. You can also choose from low sodium Chicken and the Beef flavor. I will not being using the cans anymore. Progresso has become a pantry staple for my family. If you need any recipe ideas The Progresso website has so delicous and unique recipes to try.

Well today Jazz had a doctor’s appointment. She had a really bad rash on her neck, arm and face that needed to be looked at. She went to urgent care about two weeks ago and got a prescription that seems to working. But she still needed to follow up. I figured since she was going she might as well get her immunizations because in Wisconsin the requirements changed. I can’t remember what the old requirements were but these are the new ones.

If your child is going into K-5
: Your child will need two doses of varicella (chicken pox vaccine) before the start of school in September 2008.

If your child is going into 6th grade: Your child will need two doses of varicella and 1 dose of TDap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) vaccine (unless the child has had a tetanus shot within the last 5 years) before the start of school in September 2008.

If your child is going into 9th grade
: Your child will need 1 dose of TDap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) vaccine (unless the child has had a tetanus shot within the last 5 years) before the start of school in September 2008.

If your child is going into 12th grade: Your child will need 2 doses of varicella and 1 dose of TDap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis) vaccine (unless they have had a tetanus shot within the last 5 years) before the start of school in September 2008.

Her doctor brought up her shot record and it turns out one of her Hepatitis B shots was considered not valid. Jazz was supposed to get 3 Hepatitis B shots but her second one did not count. Why you ask? Because the earliest date that she could get the shot was 11/25/1994. Her doctor gave her the second shot on 04/19/1994. This does not make sense to me. I was barely 20 at the time and I was doing what the doctors told me.Shouldn’t they know what they are doing? So how did this happen? I stopped going to that doctor about 8 or 9 years ago but now I think I need to just double check all of the kid’s health records. Just to be on the safe side.

Nonetheless Jazz was not too happy. She thought she was going to get her rash looked at and she ended up getting two shots.

I did it! I stole my very first tag. I saw it over on Mumsy and I could not help myself. It looks interesting so feel free to steal it too if you would like.
