I know it only October but Christmas is on my mind already. In the past I have always spent too much money on gifts. What gets me is those last minutes gifts. Every year there is always just one more gift that I need. I think it has been hard for me because I used to be a huge shopoholic. I used to shop for next Christmas on the day after the current Christmas. I would always get the best deals the day after because then stores are constantly marking stuff down to get rid of it. But I don’t shop like anymore. I got my sister in law’s gift in June. I won it in a blog giveaway and was able to get it personalized. I won a beautiful blanket and storage set on a giveaway that is perfect for my niece. I just got my dad’s girlfriend gift on Thursday. It was on sale and marked down 70%. I can’t say what it is but I got 2. I also won my dad’s gift in a giveaway too. Whenever I can I try to keep my eyes on clearance racks because it just may hold the perfect gift for someone. My kids also like to exchange gifts with their friends and give a gift to their teachers so that is in the back of my mind. I want to get nice gifts not just something that is cheap and a waste of money. My goal is to spend less money this year on Christmas but still give great gifts without paying full price. I am going to try to find some neutral gifts. For that unexpected person who pops up on Christmas Day.
