For as long as I can remember I have always used Purex. It cleaned o.k. and was pretty affordable so why change? Well a few weeks ago I got a free sample of Tide in the mail. The new Tide Total Cleaning. I did not think much of it. In my opinion Tide just costs too much and all detergent works the same. One night I need to wash the kids uniforms and had no detergent. It was too late to go out so I just grabbed my sample and prayed for the best.
Kayla had chocolate and tomato sauce all over her khaki pants and I did not notice it until that very minute. So I threw all the clothes in and waited. When I got the clothes out the washer, before I put them in the dryer I noticed a different scent. It was not too floral or overpowering. It smelled “clean”. Well i threw the clothes in the dryer and got back to blogging. After the buzzer went off, I went to get the clothes and fell in love. The clothes smelled so good. You might not believe it but I was literally smelling each piece as I folded it. My husband thought I had lost my mind. But it smelled that good! I even have my kids sniffing their clothes when they put them on. They agree that it smell sooo good!
I love am loving Tide. Finally something that does what it says. If I would have used Purex the stain would never had come out. The next time I went shopping I checked my coupon binder for a Tide coupon and I have never looked back. Tide Total Care has even been getting stains out of clothes that Purex could not remove. So I bid farwell to Purex. It’s not me, it you, lol. And Hello Tide Total Clean. Could I get a little sniff?

Unfortunately I can’t use Tide. My mom used it when I was little a few times. And I totally broke out in a rash. I guess I’m allergic to it. That was a long time ago though. Maybe it’s changed. Glad you like it though

@sue: my oldest daughter has sensitive skin too. Since we changed to Tide we have had no problems.

Do they have that brand of Tide for “he” washers? I have never tried this Tide before, I have a front loader so it would have to be “he” for me, lol!
Thank you for sharing this, my mom always used Tide when I was growing up and my brother was allergic to it, so she had to switch to Cheer and I do not like Cheer at all, it never got my clothes clean when I used it.
