This week I would like to introduce you to my new friend Christy at Southern Plate.
Isn’s she pretty?
Well not only is Christy pretty, sweet, funny and nice as can be she cooks too! She has her very own hardcover cookbook that is for sale. You will also find her at www.al.com, Foodbuzz.com, Divine Caroline, and in print Wednesdays on the front of the Life section in the Athens News Courier. How cool is that?
Christy has been voted for best cooking blog and once you visit her site you will see why. Southern Plate is full of easy to make recipes with color pictures. I love that idea. I like to at least know what I am making should look like! You have to love a chef who drops her camera into the batter when making her Coca Cola Cake 
What makes Christy so different for me is she is very down to earth. She loves to use generic products for her cooking which helps to make it affordable for everyone. She laughs at herself and she offers great recipes. I had a chance to see her Christmas Ebook and I kid you not, I want to try to make everything in that book! I have just fallen in love with Southern Plate. It is truly a treasure and perfect for the upcoming holidays. There are so many amazing recipes I am sure you can find something to cook for Christmas or New Years or for a little snack.
Well, anyone that know me I can not bake cookies. At all! The proof is in the photos and yes the cookies are cooked.
Christy has decided to help me learn how to make chocolate chip cookies. I told you she is sweet! She is going to give me the perfect recipe and I am going to make me some cookies. My family will be the taste testers and they do not lie! I am going to take pictures and video record the whole thing. Now I hope Christy can stand up to the challenge because many have tried to teach me and all have failed, lol. There will be more details soon about our dual blog reveal.
