I am a huge movie lover and have a even bigger collection. Most people are very surprised to find out my collection consists of lots of action, horror, comedy and a few (maybe 3) romantic movies. The reason I bring this up is because I was watching tv and saw a commericial for “Not Easily Broken”. It is a movie starring Morris Chestnut, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Hart and Wood Harris. They are some of my favorite actors so of course I want to see it but I have a feeling it will make me cry. For some odd reason I hate it when movies make me cry. It just gets me started and then everything makes me cry. Commercials, songs, poems just about anything. It really just makes no sense. Even though I love movies there are some I have never watched because they might make me cry. Let’s see, I have never seen Green Mile, Forrest Gump, John Q, Rain Man and Losing Isiah . Then there are the movies I have seen that made me cry and I never watched again: Castaway, Bicentennial Man and Armageddon. There are a few movies that I do watch even though I end up in tears: Color Purple, Brokedown Palace, and The Best Man. Of course I can’t forget Toy Story 2. Yes, I said Toy Story 2. There is this scene where Jessie, the girl doll, has been under the bed collecting dust because the little girl has outgrown her. One day she takes Jessie from under the bed and Jessie is so happy because she is finally gonna get played with. Well, it turns out the girl only took Jessie from under the bed to give her away. That just broke my heart. Stop laughing! I’m curious, what movie makes you cry?

I bawled like a baby at almost every scene in that movie. It’s so heartbreaking but you should definitely watch it. The Notebook is another teary eyed movie for me.

Crying seems to come so easily to me now that I have kids. Not that it didn’t before but it seems that my emotions are kicked up about 1000 notches!
You have such a cute blog and I enjoyed reading it! I found you through link referral!
Have a great day!
@ Cat: See I knew I was right! John Q seems like it would make me cry nonstop. I have heard about The Notebook. Maybe one day I will have the courage to watch them, lol.
@ Kellie: Thank you so much for the compliment. Don’t just love link referral? I find some really great sites through them.
During my last pregnancy I cried while watching Cars with my kids and I felt so ridiculous (it was when Lightening pushed the broken car over the finish line at the end). I just blamed it on hormones. Thanks for visiting my blog!
I’m with you, totally hate crying at movies. The Notebook is one of the biggest perps of causing unwanted eye-leakage… Great flick, hate watching it; sucks me in every time. It’s amazing how much more tearful I’ve become since having kids. Before that… I could sit through Steel Magnolias and yawn; now I start bubbing when Julia Roberts goes to pick up Jack… it’s not fair ALL the many things kids do to us!
Recently took a date to see “7 lbs.”. It was only our 4th date and she and the rest of the theater started crying like crazy. I didn’t know if I should hug her, hold her, or cry too. I just sat there and tried to look cool. The operative word being “try”. I was far from cool. If you don’t like crying then stay away from that movie. However it’s a great movie, superb acting and a great musical score. Just bring your Hanky!

@ Heather: No problem I enjoyed visiting your blog.
@ Aria: You know now that I think about it I was able to handle movies better before I had kids.
@ MJL: That reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld. His date was crying at a movie and hew was not sure what to do either, lol. Thanks for the tip I am going to stay clear of 7lbs. I don’t want to cry in the theatre. At least if I cry at home no one will see me.
