When we used to have a real tree, I would let the tree stay up until New Year’s Day. I love to look at the tree when it is all lit up. We got a great artificial tree a few years ago that I love. It is huge and does not look fake. This year we took down the tree 2 days after Christmas. It just took up too much room. I save all the original boxes the ornament came in so it is easy to put them away. I let the kids help and so it goes pretty quickly. Next my husband takes the lights down and winds them up carefully so they will be easy to put up next year. Then my husband takes the tree apart and put it away in its’ original box. Since we don’t have a real tree there is no need to vacuum up needles.
