Summer Bridge Math Literacy Night

logo

This year is rapidly coming to an end. I actively encourage my kids to read, read and read some more.I am always on the lookout for other ideas to help me keep them motivated. Tonight the kids’ school is that having a Math and Literacy Night. I think it is going to be fun. There are going to be math and literacy activities, free books for the kids, a hot dog dinner and open computer lab. I am hoping to learn about some new educational websites that I might not now of yet. We have already learned about the Super Reader program that will be available this summer through our local public libraries. This program is for kids 12 years old and younger. The kids sign up to get a reading log so they can track their reading or the time spent that someone is reading to them. Just for signing up the kids get a coupon for a Free 5″ Cousins sub!! Because of their participation, kids can win prizes like: a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut, a Super Reader back pack, free admission to museums and ball parks and free apple fries from Burger King. Only 3 of my kids can participate. I am adding it to my list of things to do this summer. This is definitely frugal because there is no cost. You should check your local library to see if they are having a similar program this summer.
