One of my favorite things about summer is the movies. Some of the best one come out during this time of year and it is a great way to stay cool. Now I can’t afford to go out to the theatres a lot, but there are a few movies that I would love to see. Of course Transformers 2 is on the top of my list. I loved the first one and watched the cartoon when I was younger. I have heard mixed reviews and a lot of people didn’t like it. That doesn’t matter to me though. When it comes to movies I think you really have to check it out for yourself. I am hoping to take TJ to see it one day next week.
The Taking of Pelham 123 is also on my list. I love it when John Travolta plays a bad guy. I am hoping it will be filled of action and the unexpected.
I really looking forward to see the fourth Final Destination movie. It is called The Final Destination. I had no idea there was even a fourth coming out. I wonder what will they be able to come up with for this one. I just hope it scares the heck out of me!
I am super happy that once again Marcus Theatres is offering the Kids Rule movie promotion. On Wednesdays and Thursdays you can take the kids to see a movie for only $3 plus you get a free popcorn. The movies are usually around 10 am. This promotion has been going on for a few years and my kids love it. It used to be only $2. You would get a soda and popcorn. It is still a pretty good deal.
It looks like the only states participating are Iowa, Wisconsin, Illiniois, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Ohio.
We recently felt the urge to watch a funny movie. A movie that would not teach us anything, have a complicated storyline or scare the heck out of me. We decided on The Hangover. From the commercials I was cracking up so I was crossing my fingers that it would be good. I was not dissappointed. First off let me say this movie is for adults only! No kids allowed. This movie had both my husband and I laughing nonstop. I mean we had tears in our eyes. The basic storyline is a group of friends go to a bachelor party and wake up the next day not remembering anything. At all. Oh yeah and someone loses a tooth and the groom. There is they typical guy in the group who will just about try anything, plus a goody two shoes, one even has a “crazy” girlfriend. I think it was a good silly movie that has a little of the unexpected. I am one of those people who can watch a movie and see what is coming next. Not with this one. There are also a few star cameos that surprised me. If you like stupid humor once in a while, you will like this. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give any of the movie away.
Wow. June 21st. Today is the first official day of summer. It is also Father’s Day and our 13th wedding annivesary. We have been together for about 17 years, half of my life!! I grew up with him. How cool is that? I am so blessed to be married to my best friend who happens to also be the best dad in the world. He is patient, loving, generous, funny, selfless, loyal and honest. I could not imagine spending my life with anyone else. I just wanted to write a quick post wishing my loving husband a wonderful Father’s Day and an even better anniversary. I can’t wait to see what our future holds. I know it will be great. Love you!!!
