This week we decided to have our movie night on Monday. We usually watch movies during the middle week but wanted to try something different. So this week we popped in “The Spirit“. I could not clearly remember what the movie was supposed to be about but I had to put it into my queue for some reason. It might have been the fact that Samuel Jackson is it. I thought this movie would have some action in it but there was none in my opinion. This movie could not hold my attention at all. Even with great actors like Eva Mendes and Samuel L Jackson “The Spirit” was really bad. I understand it is supposed to be based on a comic but too many things just not make sense. The movie seemed to be set in the 1930’s but they had modern things like the internet and cell phones. I may just be wrong or did not get it because I don’t know much about The Spirit as a character. I did not like the fact that some parts of the movie where in color while some parts remained in black and white. The acting was over the top and cheesy. It made it hard for me to follow the storyline. I could not even finish watching it
