Today my youngest turned 7!! I can not believe it. She did not go to bed until after midnight because she was so excited. Once she fell asleep we put one of her presents in her room. Meet Billy and Sparkles. 2 new guppies. They are orange and yellow.

When she finally woke up she got dressed and saw all of her pretty balloons! She absolutely loves balloons. My husband and I told her we needed to go to the auto parts store. Then we would come back to get the rest of her gifts. Boy was she surprised when we pulled up to Chuck E Cheese’s. We managed to fool all the kids.

They had a ball! We were there over 3 hours. Just having fun and enjoying the day together. We managed to get Kayla well over 1000 tickets. One of the things she picked out was a gumball machine. Only 800 tickets, lol. It made her happy.

We went home and gave her a few more gifts including an electric scooter. All the kids could not wait to try it out. We laughed until we could not anymore.

I found the recipe for this purse cake online at Parenting.com We had to substitute cow tails candy for the purse handles (could not find a king sized tootsie roll anywhere in the city!) and we used strawberry frosting instead of vanilla frosting with food coloring. Gotta save where you can!! I also used laffy taffy for the leaves instead of fruit leather.

Happy Birthday Kayla, we love you!!!!!!

I saw this picture and this describes how I feel exactly. I hate that I am so easily stressed. I even try to trick myself and not let things get to me. Somehow they lurk underneath and fester in the back of my mind silently attacking me. I honestly think I am a worrier (not sure if a word) at heart. My husband is the relaxed and calm one. Nothing bothers him. Me, I worry about everything from school starting soon to the weather. And when I start to worry or stress too much the headaches start. That has been a normal part of my life but the last few weeks the headaches have been so much worse. I am talking about bad too. Sharp, throbbing pain that just will not stop. It has gotten to the point where even the light is painful and not enough Tylenol or ibuprofen is working. All I can do is cry and pray for sleep. I try relaxing which never works. I tried breathing into a bag, almost passed out. The simple thing is to just go to the doctor. But I am scared. Scared I will end up going, they will run a bunch of tests, still don’t stop my headache and I have a huge doctor’s bill because none of the procedures were covered by my insurance. This has happened more than times than you would believe! I need to figure out something because these headaches are keeping me in bed all the time.

I just know that headaches can be a symptom of so many other things. I was pretty surprised to find out there is actually a National Headache Foundation. Well I shouldn’t be too surprised because there is a site for everything these days. I am hoping to find something useful here. I am willing to check out anything at this point.

If anyone has any home remedies or methods they like to try please share them. I would love to hear them :)

tucksWhen it comes to discussions with most of my family members I like to be blunt. No matter what the subject. There are just some things that can not be sugar coated. I feel most health topics fall into that category. Thanks to Mom Central and Tucks I had the great opportunity learn a little about Tucks. When I think about the subject of hemorrhoids I have to admit that Tucks pops into my head immediately. I have seen them around medicine cabinets for as long as I can remember. Did you know hemorrhoids are actually quite common and almost everyone has experienced them at one time or another? Woman who are pregnant are more likely to get hemorrhoids because of the strain from carrying the baby and from giving birth. Hemorrhoids can make you very uncomfortable with the pain, itching and burning. But know that you never have to suffer because you may be embarrassed about such a sensitive subject. Tucks are great to get some relief. Personally I used them right after each of my four kids were born. They gave them to me right at the hospital, not for hemorrhoids but soothing the pain and tenderness. Yep, they are not just for hemorrhoids. Tucks can be used daily on the outer vaginal area to freshen and cleanse and is even baby care-recommended as a final cleansing step at diaper changing time. I had no idea they have come so far. Tucks even comes in little individually packed medicated towelettes. Throw some in your purse and be prepared for anything :) Tucks Medicated pads are safe for septic and sewer systems and decompose when flushed. I think it is great that a product that I think is a must have in our medicine cabinets is hypo-allergenic, dye-free and ph balanced. Hey play it on the safe side and keep a box of the Take Alongs in the house. You know, just in case!
