No Ice Cream Truck for Us

The kids like to tease me that I am cheap but I consider myself to be frugal. I am not with wasting money. I would goodhumor much rather stretch my money. I perfect example is the ice cream truck. I really dread hearing that little jingle. It is just such a rip off in my eyes. It is so overpriced. I think I have got my kids to understand why I feel the way I do. The stuff on the truck can cost at least a dollar and up. I have four kids so a trip to the ice cream truck can easily run us $5 and up. Well, I went to Walmart and bought this variety ice cream box of Good Humor Ice Cream for $10.99. We got 8 ice cream cones, 10 ice cream sandwiches and 12 ice cream bars. I showed the kids that they cost about $.33 a piece. They could not believe the difference. They all understand that for the price of one treat from the ice cream truck they can get 3 out of the freezer. Everyone in the house loves that they get to choose what they want any time of day. And I love the ice cream bars. They are sooo good.
