I know, I know. This event took place September 29th through October 2nd. But the great thing about having my own blog is I can write what I want when  I want to :)

So on to the Nestle Health Family Blogger Event. I was invited to attend this with a bunch of wonderful bloggers. I was invited so that  NESTLE  could share some of their new initiatives and talk in candid conversations with key NESTLE executives. What was on the agenda included  topic sessions  built around health and wellness, kid nutrition, new product innovations and creating memories. I accepted this invitation because these topics are something I was interested in. I mean hey, I am a stay at home mom of four. I have smaller nieces and nephews as well as younger cousins who I feel I need this type of information for. Of course Nestle paid for my travel, hotel and food. I do not feel like I was bought in any way. Not one time have I been asked to write about this or make sure you include that in your post. I am writing this because I want to. It was a wonderful experience that I want to share. I learned so much. That is why I am writing about it. I am not going to lie and say well we never really used Nestle before and now because of all the blogs writing about boycotting them, I am joining. No. We have used Nestle products for as long as I can remember and since my trip I realized just how many more that we never knew were Nestle products. We like them simple as that. But this is just my opinion.

Now on to my experience at the Nestle Healthy Family Blogger Event. Since my last trip and My very first taxi ride, I was relieved to know that we would be picked up from the airport. The driver was the best. While driving he showed me all the sights and was really nice. It was also great that he knew his way around, lol. During this event  we stayed at the Langham Hotel which was beautiful. I made a short video of my room.

Our first night in California Nestle hosted a cocktail party so we could meet everyone and mingle. Of course I was a little nervous but I think it was more excitment than anything. Luckily Toni from Just Stop Screaming was just a few doors down. She is so great just being around her puts me at ease.  The cocktail party was fun. As you can see Toni was right at home, lol.

I was able to meet Greg of Telling Dad. I have a little video of him dancing with the Nestle Bunny.

While we mingling a special suprise presented itself. We were able to meet one of the chefs on staff.  Can you guess who he is?

He is Michael Voltaggio from Top Chef!!! I was star struck. I love Bravo and have watched Top Chef since it first came out.  He is actually one of my favorites so the fact that I was able to meet him is so great! He was super nice and took pictures with us. He even invited us to come down and visit him but we came to find out there would be no time. We were busy!

After the cocktail party we went to our rooms to get to sleep, we had to up and ready at like 7am the next day. While I was getting ready for bed, I realized I had not eaten dinner. At the party were nice little snacks but not a meal. Somehow between preparing for the trip and all the travel I was starving. Since there were no fast food places around I ordered room service.  I ordered a Turkey Club with fries. Bacon and fries are my favorite foods! But I can not always find a good tukey club or fries made just how I like them. Well, The Langham got it right!

The sandwich was huge and the bacon cooked to perfection. Oh and the fries had sea salt on them. I never had them like that before. Yummmy! I usually carry a small container of Lawry’s Seasoning Salt with me but I forgot them on this trip. But these fries did not need any. I ended the night full and content. I could not wait until the next day.
