I use Campbell’s soup a lot in my cooking. It is a staple in our home. I have used Campbell’s for years and even have a few of their cookbooks I like to refer to from time to time. My favorite is their Souper Burger. It is made with a can of Campbell’s Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup, some ground beef and a little seasoning. A nice twist on a sloppy joe. When I heard about the Help Grow Your Soup Campaign, I knew right away it was something I wanted to share with others.
Campbell’s wants to support the future of farming in America . They are partnering with the National FFA organization toshowcase contributions of the American farming industry by bringing to life the rich history and special stories of how good food is grown. This year, Campbell’s and FFA invite eveyone to experience 10 nominated farm. Each farm has a uniqe story and a barn that is in need of preservation. You are than able to vote on which farm you would like to preserve. You can do this once everyday. The plan was for every vote that is cast on or before January 5, 2010, Campbell’s will donate $1 to FFA up to $250,ooo. They have already reached that goal! Isn’t that great. But you can still go to vote for the barn you want to preserve. The five barns with the most votes will be annouced in January 2010 as the winners of the Help Grow Your Soup program. Participants can vote on which barn they feel needs restoration the most through the Help Grow Your Soup™ web site or Facebook fan page.
Also as a thank you for anyone who votes, Campbell is offering its specially-cultivated tomato seeds. After a vote is cast for one of the 10 barns on HelpGrowYourSoup.com, consumers can enter the UPC code printed on a can of condensed soup and sign up to receive a packet of Campbell tomato seeds
M80 contacted me on behalf of Campbell’s and I thought this was good enough to share. I did not receive any type of compensation to do this post.
