I would be foolish to get a Kindle

logo

kindleat least that is what my dad thinks. Especially with the new iPad on the market. See I keep trying to explain to him the Kindle has been on my mind for a while. I almost got the Kindle instead of my ipod Touch last year. Whenever I win a swagbuck it still crosses my mind. I read a lot and think it would be so cool to have something that holds thousands and thousands and books. Urban fiction, self help, mystery whatever I am in the mood to read. Right at my fingertips. What do you think? The facts that caught my eye:

  • you can use it to read books, magazines, newspapers and blogs!
  • it can read all of these different formats to you
  • it’s completely wireless so I would not have to remember to grab any extra cords
  • from what I have seen it looks light and thin

The price is what has me not sure $259 is a lot of money. But I could save up for it. I am sure I would use it.  The kids too. Does anyone have a Kindle or any type of ebook? I would love to know what you think. I am thinking with all the people hopping on the iPad bandwagon I just might find a gently used ebook reader :)

  1. I haven’t been sold on the Kindle…yet! I have yet to see one in person. Have you?

Maybe it’s psychological for me but I love holding my books, mags and lappie! What do you think? From all the pictures of the kindle that I have seen, the screen always looks so “not inviting!”

    Popping on by from EC!

I actually saw someone with one on a plane back in December. I have to admit I kept looking her, lol. I did not get a good look at the screen though. See, I am wondering would it make it easier for me to just grab the Kindle when I am on the go. I hate it when I am somewhere and “forgot” a certain book or magazine. But then I think my laptop is too heavy.

    Thanks for popping in :)

I am intrigued, have been for some time by the Kindle. I am an avid reader. I just caught hubby reading an e-book on his ipod touch this morning. He would be the type of person that would get into the reader on the ipad right away. Not sure how I feel. I like holding a book in my hands.
