Last week a told you guys how I am a brand Ambassador for The View. I get to share with you upcoming storylines and we can all share what we think with each other.
Today was a day of hot topics. Of course the first topic was about the whole Tiger Woods press conference. Now I am not going to lie and say I watched it because I did not. I like to play golf on the Wii but I am not a big fan of it and do not watch it at all. Between Facebook and Twitter I pretty much heard all about it. It is everywhere. I have heard people say “Despite the decisions in his personal life, he is still the best golf player alive,” or “I don’t watch him because of his family I watch him because of his talent”. Then there is the other side of coin “He is a horrible, horrible man and I will never support his golf career” and “He is a disgrace to golf and a huge disappointment. He should not be allowed to golf anymore”. I do not think that this needs to have so much focus in the media. I am sick of hearing about it honestly. What do you think?
So today is the day that the Credit Card Reform goes into effect. One of the good things about this is if you are 21 and under you have to prove that you can make payments or have a cosigner. Statements will include information about how long it will take you to pay off your balance if you only pay the minimum due. Also, the credit card company must get your permission before transactions can be made that are over your limit. This may be just the eye opener some people need. Unfortunately, this new reform may not be good for customers who pay on time and pay off the balance in full each month. Even if you are a good customer, you can be charged for inactivity. Other credit cards may start charging annual fees. I am so glad I do not have any credit cards.
Another topic was about the Public Service Announcement commercials from Fatherhood.org and President Obama’s involvement with it. I loves these commercials and put up a few of the videos a few weeks ago. They make me smile each and every time I see them. The ladies on The View talked a little about whether they were geared towards fathers of color. I don’t think so. That never crossed my mind. I see it as just talking about fathers in general. I know a lot of great fathers, one being my husband
Have you seen any of the commercials? This one is my favorite:
