Great Night Shopping at Piggly Wiggly

Is there a Piggly Wiggly near you? I really like that store. Last night was my first time going andit was nice. I decided after babysitting my nephew I should go grocery shopping. Hubby went fishing so I thought why not? So what if it last minute, I can do it. Ha! By the time I finished making my lists, double checking flyers and coupons I ran out the door. My plan was to hit Sentry, Piggly Wiggly and then Pick and Save. Sentry was a huge disappointment. I was able to find the sales items I wanted at all which almost threw me off from my meal ideas. And some the meat just did not look right. Then I got to Piggly Wiggly an hour before closing. I was a little anxious because I needed a Preferred Card and I thought the customer service would be closed.  Well it wasn’t and the young lady behind the desk was very nice and friendly. Then I went shopping with my huge list. There are having this big sale that includes a gallon of milk for $.99 and Silk Soy milk was $1.99 and I had a coupon for $1 off. What caught my attention was the $10 for 10 sale.  I grabbed:

• turkey bacon
• lunchables ( the kids love the ones with a sub,  me too!)
• pasta for spaghetti and mac & cheese
• salad dressing
• hamburger helper
• onion rings
• popcorn
• garlic bread
• pretzels
• carrots
• potatoes

Part of the sale was for every 10 you buy you get the 11th free. I forgot all about it and then checked my reciept when I got home. Sure enough the discount was taken off!  That is really big for me because there have been way too many times that my purchases have not rung up correctly. I even managed to stay on budget, actually $.65 under!!

I think I am going to have to check out Piggly Wiggly more often. It is nice, clean and the customer service is great!!
