National Children’s Book Week

logo

I almost forgot to mention this! This week is National Children’s Book Week.  I love to read and encourage my kids to do the same. You will find books on all subjects throughout my home. I thought it would fun to share what our children like to read.

TJ

  • If it has anything to do with dinosaurs or animals he is sure to pick it up.  I could not get him to tell me his favorite because he likes them all.  The question led to a whole discussion about how we need to go get some more books :)

Nannah

  • Drama and mystery grabs her attentions. She has recently discovered books that let you choose your own adventure. I used to love those when I was younger too.

Kayla

  • Her favorite books to read  is the Junie B Jones series. Of course she loves anything that involves a princess too.

Jazz

  • She loves to read books that have drama, comedy and romantic all in one. One of her favorite authors Sharon G. Flake. She also likes TTFN and TTYL, Later Gator and the Blueford High Series.

My kids also love books that have fun facts in them. They get that from me. The Guiness Book of World Records and the National Geographic Kids Almanac both get a lot of use in our house.

What books do your kids like to read?

My 6 year old likes The Magic Tree House series, but i am still partial to anything written by Mo Willems. Thank you for asking a question, it makes it easier to make a comment!

Also, I am giving away Pocket Doodles for Kids on my site this month, and other books at the begining of each month.
