Our local public library has a reading program each summer to help encourage kids to read more. The goal is for kids to read a certain number of minutes for each level. Each level comes with different prizes like free admission to the Zoo, Museum, skating, State Fair Park, Discovery World, Bristol Renaissance Faire and more.
We are a family of readers but sometimes Nannah needs a little push. She can get pretty picky about what she reads. She likes to go by what is on the cover but I am teaching her that the title and pictures on the front have nothing to do with the actual story inside. We are still working on it, lol. Today we went to the libary to check in and Nannah made it to Super Mega Reader Level!! This means she got a really nice sign for her Mama to proudly display in the yard, a backpack, a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut coupon, one Bucks Certificate of Achievement for a
buy-one-get-one-free ticket, coupon for free admission to go skating and one to go swimming.
We love this program. The kids read even more and get the chance to have some fun this summer without breaking the bank!
