These last few months I have really become interested in cooking more. I like to dabble here and there but I really want to expand my recipe collection. It doesn’t hurt adding some new tastes and flavors to our meal options. I was recently able to check out The Best of Clean Eating cookbook. I have to admit, the cover really caught my eye. Doesn’t that look good? Another reason I was looking forward to reading this book is because I noticed that one of the things I am missing from my collection of recipes are healthy ones. To me, this was the perfect opportunity to get a feeling of exactly what it is out there.
Clean Eating Magazine was created in 2007 to fill the need of cooking with real and fresh ingredients. With almost 20 issues published and over 1,000 recipes, this is the perfect time to put the best of the best in an easy to use cookbook.
One of the things I love about this cookbook is how there are pictures on practically every other page. This is great because I am the type of person who needs to see a picture of the finished product. Plus there are times when I flip through a cookbook to see what looks good. Right away I found a few recipes I wanted to try:
I love to eat Salmon and found quite a few recipes that I want to try. I even came across two slow cooker recipes, one for Carrot Cake and the other was for Chestnut Stew.
Each recipe in The Best of Clean Eating Cookbook include:
The categories are split up in a easy to search manner:
One of the best features of this cook book is the bonus information included. The sections cover subjects like Quiona, 10 ways to slash your grocery bill, an herb pairing guide, how to shop for, prepare and cook fish, an guide to flours, suggestions for burger toppings and four weeks of meal plan with shopping lists!
This book offers a lot and I will definitely be referring to it in the future. I think this is a really great cookbook. It will work for those of us learning how to introduce healthy meals into our families as well as those who are looking for healthy meal ideas. I can’t wait until my next grocery trip so I can try a lot of these recipes!

That molten lava cakes looks amazing!
That is what my 12 year old said too! This version has much healthier ingredients too.
That actually REALLY looks like a cookbook I would use and enjoy. Thank you!
My kids were looking through it and found a lot of stuff they want to try too.

Oooo — I’ve purchased that magazine before and loved it — I didn’t realize there was a cookbook!
I traveled over here from One Busy Chick’s blog because you are her featured blogger.
I too started thinking a while back about eating healthier but was inharmonious with my stove. I started slow but have gotten the hang of spending more time in the kitchen and I feel great now because of the healthy food I eat.
This magazine looks great and the number of recipes in it that I’d really want to eat is even better.
Congrats on being a focused blogger on One Busy Chick.
Have a great day
