Last year at TJ’s school, the students were able to participate in the Mad Hot Ballroom Tap program through Danceworks. It has turned out to be an great experience for him and his classmates. TJ had such a good time learning different dance steps and how to dance with a partner. He was able to be a part of the Mad Hot Ballroom Tap Competion last year and recieved a scholarship to take classes in the summer. When the opportunity came to do it again at his new school, he was so excited.
In May it was time for the 2011 Mad Hot Ballroom Tap Competition. It was wonderful to watch him compete again this year. My entire family enjoyed watching all the other students perform too.
This year TJ was competing in Swing. He looked so nice dancing and was not scared about being in front of so many people. TJ and his partner were upset that they did not make it to final. The tears in their eye just about broke my heart. I made sure to tell them how proud I was of them. They did a really good job.
