When I was introduced to the company Talenti Gelato my first thought was “what is gelato”? I was not familiar with the word so I had to find out a little more. Gelato is a frozen Italian dessert that has been compared to ice cream but is much different. The main difference is Gelato does not contain cream. A major ingredient in Gelato is air. As it is being frozen, the liquid mix is whipped with air to increase the volume of the product and smooth out the texture.
Talenti Gelato has recently released its’ newest flavor, Sea Salt Caramel. The Sea Salt Caramel gelato features rich, golden Argentine caramel (dulce de leche) made exclusively for Talenti, complemented by the finest Fleur De Sel—the prized seasalt from France—and tiny chocolate-covered sea salt caramel truffles mixed in with every spoonful.
