A Dog’s Purpose Prize Pack Giveaway

We love our Cockapoo Scottie. He became a member of our family 10 years ago. My parents did not allow us to have pets while growing up. Having a dog was something I never thought about once I started my own family. My kids love animals and we actually ended up having quite a few pets. Mimi the Hamster, Ralph the Gecko, Timmy the Turtle various fish and frogs have all lived in our home throughout the years.

We absolutely love Scottie and can not imagine life without him. My Granddaughter has grown to love him too. Dog was one her first words and she always has a huge smile on her face whenever she sees him.

Since we are a dog loving family, we are looking forward to checking out A Dog’s Purpose when it comes to theaters January 27th.

Based on the beloved bestselling novel by W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Purpose, from director Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, Dear John, The 100-Foot Journey), shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog (voiced by Josh Gad) who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love.  The family film told from the dog’s perspective also stars Dennis Quaid, Peggy Lipton, Britt Robertson, K.J. Apa, Juilet Rylance, Luke Kirby, John Ortiz and Pooch Hall.

We saw the trailer at the movie theaters and this looks like a heartwarming story. It might even bring a few tears to my eyes. Yeah I’m that person at the movies. If it is remote sad I am fighting back tears, especially when caught off guard.

We have a tall breed Sheltie that we rescued. His name is Flash and he got that because when we first got him he would go lightening speed through a room because he was so scared. He has stopped that but he is still as quick as can be. He is absolutely our baby.

I currently have three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds (I was up to five two years ago, but lost my deaf hound girl, Ran, from an autoimmune disorder and my senior girl, Suki, from age). Kenji is my clown – he loves to give and get love and is my silliest dog. Kyoko is my loving girl – she was nearly starved before I adopted her from a high-kill shelter in SC and now is chubby and sweet and gets SO excited when she has a treat. Seiji I think was abused before I adopted him from a high-kill shelter in NC. It took time, but now he’s an affectionate, playful boy – my biggest dog at nearly 80 pounds and his favorite toys are several stuffed dogs (and one cat) that we call his babies and he carries around with him and takes with him into his crate when he’s tired or stressed (he hates thunder). I also have three cats, but I’ll save their story for another time.

I do not have a dog, I would love one but we travel and work long hours. Growing up we had a wonderful dog, he was part of our family.

We currently have 2 Shih Tzu’s 8 & 9 years old. Two totally different babies! Never thought I would like having a small dog, but it’s kinda nice now that I’m getting older. I’ve always been a big dog person… Collie, Pit, Lab, Shepherd, Mastiff. My sister does rescue/ foster work for a shelter, and I help her with that SOMETIMES. Very challenging, but rewarding! LOVE DOGS!!!! Love all animals really!
