An Invaluable Resource For Car Shopping

This is a sponsored post.

Car buying can be stressful and I am not an expert on the subject. I want a good value for my money. I want a safe vehicle. I want it to be the color I want. I also want extra features and so much more. Thankfully I have a great husband who knows what to look for when we are car shopping. In the last 25 years we only have bought one car brand new off the lot. That was around 15 years ago and it turns out used cars work better for us. My husband is very handy and loves to work on cars so any problem that arises he can fix.  He actually likes to find cars that have minor things wrong but are priced low to work on.

A few months ago he found this new to us Mustang for a great price. He and my son are working on it so when my son gets his license in January, he will have this for his first car.

My son has his permit right now and has drove the Mustang around the block a few times and loves it! He is having fun working on it with his dad.

Last year my van was giving me problems and I was ready for a little upgrade. Fortunately I had saved enough money to get a new to me vehicle. I thought I wanted an SUV and settled on finding a Tribeca. I have been a mini van Mom for years. Being a Mom of four kids, I always needed a vehicle with enough seating for our entire family and all our road trips. But now the kids are older. My oldest is 23 and lives on her own. My 19 year old daughter is busy with college and work and drives herself where she needs to go. I figured I no longer needed all the space that a mini van provides.

Cars.com was a site that I visited on a daily basis looking for an SUV. I liked that I could search for a Tribeca for sale near me quickly. It is not just cars from dealerships either. There are private sellers on the site too. I was able to save the cars that caught my eye to show my husband later. Plus it made it easy to price compare.

The site also provides in depth reviews of vehicles from consumers. While reading all the different reviews and finding out more about features I would like to have I stumbled across Chrysler Town and Country vans. I used to want one years ago it never happened. I ended up using the Cars.com site to research everything I wanted to know.

Then while I was searching for the perfect van for me, my husband went to get his hair cut and he saw my van in car lot right next door. It was marked down $3000! The next day I went to go see it and we ended up buying it.

I absolutely love my Town and Country. My husband was able to get it for less than what they were asking for it. It is fully loaded with a dvd player system with 3 screens, back up camera, heated seats, auto start, stow and go seats, a hard drive to hold all my favorite songs and more. We took in on our road trip to Disney World and it worked out perfectly for the five us.

The extra space has come in very handy. We used the stow and go feature to help my daughter when she moved, on fishing trips and for big shopping trips! When we plan family outings with my oldest daughter and granddaughter there is enough room for everyone. I am very glad we decided to go with this van.

Cars.com has turned out to be an invaluable resource when it comes to car shopping. Not only does it help if you want to buy or sell a car, but it has a lot of useful information:

  • DIY Auto Repair
  • Car Seat Safety Check
  • Reviews
  • Help for first time car buyers
  • Videos
  • Find a service center and/or get service estimates

Cars.com is definitely worth a look when you are car shopping. You can easily use it at home or on the go with their app.

I’ll (hopefully) be in the market for a new car soon and I hadn’t even thought about Cars.com. I’ll have to remember that.
