I swear, I wonder am I the only person out there that is amazed about the new stuff I learn about on a daily basis. Seriously, just when I think I know something I learn something new. I have been using Microsoft Office for quite a while. Even though it is not the newest version, I do have it on my computer and like using it. I was not aware of how easy it is to use Microsoft Office Live. It is perfect for our family because even though we have flash drives all over, we have a habit of forgetting where we left them. I know it sounds crazy but we do it. Microsoft Office Live lets you have this workspace that has 5 gigabytes of storage. For free! And you can access it anywhere. You can share all types of files and not just adults. My daughter is in high school and she has used it few times for school work. She has a flash drive that is just for school and even she agrees this is much easier. She had a group project with 3 other students. They were able to share all their files with one another while being in different places. This saves so much time. Especially for me as a parent. I have already had my fill of “could you drive me to so and so house so we can work on our project?”.

There are so many different workspaces. You can easily create your own that fit your needs or use the ones they offer. I really like the grocery list one. You can add the item you want, the brand , even tell “hubby” what aisle to find it in. You can create an announcement board for the entire family. This is a great way to have a single spot to check to keep track of what is going on. And the best part is you can’t lose it because it is online! I am falling in love with all this can do. I am suggesting this to my kids’ school. With all the holiday events and programs coming up, this would make pitching in easier for parents.

I am really surprised at just how much Microsoft Office Live offers. My entire family has found a way to easily use it. I can definitely see us using it even more in the future, especially with the holidays coming up and all the school stuff we need to keep track of.

Since my kids and husband are huge cereal eaters, ( they eat it for snacks as well as breakfast), I was eager to check out some of the Kelloggs cereal that now has fiber. My family was sent some Froot Loops and Apple Jacks with fiber. My kids love when I set up little taste test for them. So for TJ I set up 2 bowls of cereal on the table. One full of regular Froot Loops and one full of the Froot Loops with fiber. I simply asked him if he could tell me if the two bowls were the same cereal. He said they were. So for my next test when Kayla asked for her afternoon snack I suggested cereal. She ate and then without me even asking she came into my office and “mmm, that cereal was good!” Nannah did my final test for me. She was getting ready to go fishing with her dad and brother and was making herself a container of cereal to snack on. While filling up the container she was also eating some. I asked her how did it taste and she said good why. I told her she was eating Froot Loops with fiber in it. Nannah said “it tastes the same as regular Froot Loops”. My husband is more of an Apple Jacks man it he said it tasted good to him. So Kellogg’s Froot Loops and Apple Jacks passed with flying colors in the 1stopmom household. Even with fiber, the taste is still the same!

Thanks to Mom Central, our family was invited to participate in the Listerine Oral Care Challenge. The kids were excited when I opened the box from Mom Central full of products to promote Oral Care. In the box we got Flosser and refills, dental floss, tooth stickers, a chart, and Reach Wonder Grip toothbrushes, Listerine Total Care, Reach Total Care Dental Floss and Listerine Agent Cool Blue.

It may sound strange but my kids like brushing their teeth. Jazz is 15 and never had a cavity!! So you can just imagine how eager they were to try everything out. We started we the Agent Cool Blue. This is a pre brush rinse that tints your teeth before you start brushing. It makes me think about those little pink tablets we used to get in school when they talked about dental health. Those would turn your mouth pink but it would go away once you brushed it. I wonder do they still do that. The kids have seen Agent Cool Blue on t.v. but have never had the chance to try it. I was a little worried about the kids pouring out too much of it. Of course Kayla had to give it a try.

See that little smile?

She got it all the way to the top!

But it went all the way back down!!

So it was time to try it out and get to rinsing.

The kids did not think the taste of the pre rinse was bad. It was a little sweet. We saw more of the tint on their tongues then on their teeth!

We learned so much during The Listerine Oral Care Challenge. With our box of goodies we also received a calender so the kids could keep track of their brushing habits and they did great! It turns out I really like the Reach Total Care dental floss. It cleans really good and does not make my hands sticky. When I use it with the Listerine Total Care my mouth feels rub your tongue across your teeth clean! The flosser is actually easier for the younger kids to use. It makes flossing much easier for them and they do it much more than they did before.

I am happy we were able to participate in the campaign. Not just because it is October and there is tons of candy floating around but because we were able to start a new healthier routine!

If you are interested in trying some of these products on your own there are some great coupons online. Save $2 on Listerine Total Care Mouthwash . Save $1 off Agent Cool Blue.
