Who doesn’t love Play-Doh? My kids play with it all the time. I am talking about every day! TJ loves to make dinosaurs and animals while Kayla loves to makes cookies, cake and even spaghetti with her Play-Doh.
Thanks to Mom Central , I have found out that Play-Doh wants to embrace the idea of creating food. Play-Doh has created a “Ready, Go Play-Doh” contest where our kids can come up with their own Play-Doh “food” creations for a chance to win a makeover of both their playroom and their school’s playroom. You can visit www.ReadyGoPlayDoh.com to enter by uploading a photo of your child’s food-inspired Play-Doh creation along with the “recipe” to make it.

The grand prize winner of the “Ready, Go Play-Doh” contest will win $10,000: $5,000 for a playroom makeover as well as a $5,000 “Doh-nation” to their child’s school. Contest entries will be accepted through September 30, 2009. On October 15, 2009, the ten finalists will be posted on ReadyGoPlayDoh.com and the public will vote on who receives the $10,000 prize! The website will also feature a gallery of entries, so even if you don’t win, everyone can see your child’s creation.

I don’t have any immediate family in the military, but when I heard about this contest I thought I would share. AllAmericanDirect.com, is launching their second ‘Laptops for Flat Tops’ contest. Military families will have a chance to win one laptop with an embedded Webcam (for the family) and an additional Webcam (for the soldier). Two families who have an immediate family member serving in any branch of the U.S. military overseas will win. Isn’t that a cool prize? What a great way to stay in touch with loved ones. To enter you have two choices. You can submit a 400 word essay explaining why your family should win or you can submit a one minute video. Winners will be announced on July 13, 2009.

The contest closes at 11:59 PM EDT (15:59 GMT) on Friday, July 3.

Have you heard about the Energizer Keep Going Hall of Fame? It is a really cool program that honors regular people who show great perseversence in their life every day. I think this is a great idea because everyone knows at least person who “always keeps going”. No matter what challenges or obstacles they are faced with they keep going. You can nominate your mom, sister, best friend, co-worker or someone in your community.

There are only four members in the Energizer Keep Going Hall of Fame but they are looking for an inductee for 2009. The winner will get a cash prize of $10,000 and $5,000 for a charity of their choice. The winner will even be honored at a special awards ceremony. What a good way to help out someone you care about and that deserves to be in this hall of fame. You only have until March 31, 2009 to nominate someone.

The nominees will be narrowed to a field of 100 semifinalists who will be honored in their hometowns. Then the judges will select 10 finalists whose names and stories will be posted online. At that point, all America will be given a chance to select the winner through an online vote. The voting will take place starting June 26, 2009. Each vote will trigger a $1.00 donation from Energizer to the Cal Ripken, Sr., Foundation, up to $10,000. Isn’t that wonderful?

am a big fan of Johnson’s products. Earlier this year was the launch of JOHNSON’S® Baby Bubble Bath & Wash. As a part of this launch, Johson’s is having a contest to find hosts for its Youtube Baby Channel.
The contest is pretty easy to enter. Parents, with children under the age of six, just need to upload an under three-minute video that features tips to enhance a child’s bath time experience. The grand prize winner will be awarded $10,000 to start a college fund, and the top 3 will have the opportunity to be selected as the new hosts of the JOHNSON’S® Baby YouTube channel. Flu prevention is important. Singer/songwriter and former American Idol finalist Brooke White has teamed up with infectious disease specialist and author of Germ Proof Your Kids, Dr. Harley Rotbart, and The Clorox Company to launch I Don’t Want to Miss…, a national contest that puts teens in the spotlight to talk about flu education and prevention. Teens can submit a short 45-60 second video entry to IDontWantToMiss.com, sharing what they most don’t want to miss out on and why that makes flu prevention important. The winning contestant will win an acoustic concert from former American Idol finalist Brooke White at his/her school! The second place winner will receive a guitar autographed by Brooke White herself and three runners-up will win autographed photos.
