I’m talking about my nephew Shaun! His name is actually Deshaun Jr(D.J.). But the problem is my son is T.J. and my other nephew is A.J. and I can never say the right one when I am talking to one of them. The last time I uploaded some pictures is when he was 2 weeks old. Now he is 5 months old.

I get to watch him Monday through Friday while his parents work and I just love it. It is so much fun to watch him discover new things every day. Of course he is a little spoiled when he comes over my house. We have six people who love to play with and hold him! Shaun is super ticklish and laughs while you change his clothes. Shaun loves to “talk” all the time. I think it is so cute that when he sees you smile he smiles right back at you!

 Shaun does not have any teeth yet, but I think they going to be coming in soon because he loves to try to bite on any and everything.

I don’t do the traditional door to door trick or treating. Instead I took the kids to the Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Spooktacular at the Milwaukee County Zoo.  We had a great time. Spiderman seemed to be the popular one for smaller kids this year. It was fun to see entire families dressed up together.

The weather wasn’t good though, 45 degrees! But the kids said it was worth it. There were lots of cool decorations throughout the Zoo:

Now it time for  half priced decorations and costumes for next year. Oh and don’t forget the candy.

I have a lot of pictures all on various memory cards throughout my home. When I can find them, I do something with them. Every Monday this will be my little space to share all the other pictures. Welcome to this week’s Cleaning Out My Camera.

TJ loves to create with clay. All types of animals, but especially dinosaurs. The red ornament Nannah made won a family contest for the ugliest ornament, I actually like it. Kayla loves to pamper herself, cucumbers and all! While at one of our favorite places, the library, I was able to snap a picture of Kayla reading.

I spent the day with my kids and nephew. You know he is my little secret source of sunshine.  Come to think of it I have not blogged about him in a while. Sorry AJ, lol! My baby turned 1 on December 23rd. He is growing and changing. Of course he loves his Tee Tee even more! He no longer likes his walker. A.J. is 99.99% walking!  When he was over on Saturday he took like six steps to me without holding on to anything. I was just sitting there with my mouth open, I told everyone once he made it over to me. For his birthday he got one of those Vtech Sit to Stand Walker, which he loves. He gets behind it and tries to run full speed. He also uses it as a way to get into everything, lol.

AJ is working on saying more words. He was already saying Dada (it was his first words). Now he can say his sister’s name (Christie), Jazz, TJ, tree, Mama and more. We just crack up when he talks to our dog Scottie. He tells Scottie to sit and up up(shut up). When he hears the dog barking he makes a big deal of stopping what he is doing to walk to the end of the couch and say “up up”. He has his serious face on and everything. Afterwards he has this proud look on his face.

One of AJ’s favorite things to say is no. When we feed him and he does not want anymore he shakes his head no. If you ask him does he want something, if he doesn’t want it, he will not hesitate to shake his head back and forth. It is the cutest thing ever.

It is no secret how much I love video games. There are times I think I like them more than the kids. Because of this obsession, hobby I play quite a variety of games on different platforms. When the E3 Expo was going on over the summer I was right there, in spirit at least and in front of the t.v. I like to know what to expect and keep my eye out for. Well the PlayStation Move made me do a double take. I am a big fan of motion gaming and this takes it to another level.  The MOVE does this with the PlayStation Eye Camera that can be used to make lifelike avatars, for voice commands, tracking your movement when you play and video chatting with up to six people at a time.  There is also a PlayStation Move motion controller. It definitely sounds cool with features that include a sphere that changes color, rechargeable Li-ion battery that is built in,  and motion sensors.

I already have a list of games I would love to try:

• EyePet This is a 3D animated pet that you and your family are able to take care of. You can customize him, feed him and draw new toys for him to play with. Sounds addictive!
• Brunswick Pro Bowling We love to bowl so this had to be on our list. This game allows you to customize your shoes, bowling ball and clothes. There are even hidden items to find!
• Sport Champions I am a sucker for games that let me do more than one thing and encourages some healthy competition. This game has archery, volleyball, table tennis, disc golf, gladiator duel and bocce.
• The Shoot Of course I have to have a shooting game on the list. This games offers five different location where you can shoot with unlimited bullets. Plus you can get secret power-ups and bonus items too.

I am thinking this would make a great addition to our family, especially for game night!

One thing I love to do each year is go to the Waukesha County Fair. Their dollar days make it really affordable to take our entire family out for an day of fun without going broke. Last month we had a chance to visit the fair once again. We got stuck in traffic because we had got a late start. We usually get to the fair around three but this year we didn’t leave the house until almost five. By the time we made it to the street where the fair is the line of cars was super long from both directions. My air conditioning is broke and it was at least 90 degrees that day. I did get a chance to see the really cool motorcycle like bike. It had four wheels. It was a pretty cool thing to see. It was a older woman riding it and she had it all shined up. She had such a big smile on her face and looked so care free, I told my kids I wanted one! Of course they just looked at me like I was crazy, lol.

The regular parking was all full by the time we inched our way through the line. For the first time ever we had to park on the grass. There were a lot of cars their but the staff did a great job of organizing it all.

It the long run it was not that bad. It seemed like we did not have “that” far to walk. The kids were able to spot a horse right away.

We always stop and look at the animals before we do anything else.

The ticket price went up from $1 to $1.25 but I wasn’t surprised. It was still a good deal. The kids had a good time and that is what really mattered.

Mine started off pretty busy. My husband had to work so I was in charge of all the grilling.  I have not been in this position in a while. I fired up both grills and got to cooking. Now you know I had all types of rubs and seasonings. I have a slight obsession with rubs and even use them with my crockpot. I found some more McCormick’s Grill Mates on sale for 50% off and replenished my stock!  I grilled some Johnsonville Italian Sausage and Brats (so yummy), hotdogs, chicken, hamburgers (regular and veggie) and of course ribs. We also had some fruit: stawberries, cantaloupe, mango and watermelon. Not just the regular red watermelon but some yellow watermelon too! I don’t really care for the yellow. The kids like it but good old red is what I will stick with.

The kids stay in swimsuits all day. There was swimming, water balloon fights and  the slip and slide. Even my nephew got a little wet, lol. Can you imagine all the towels that were went through? But for once I was ok with it. The kids had a lot of fun!

Then we got to go see fireworks, yay!!!! We went to my favorite “spot” and my niece and mother-in-law showed up. That was a nice surprise. My mother in law was calling my name but I did not hear her. When I am around fireworks, I block everything else out, lol. The spot we were at made it possible to see two firework shows. On in front of us and the other behind us. It was spectacular!!! All the colors and sounds made me want to jump up and down and clap my hands. I know, I am just a big kid, lol. On the drive home we saw some more fireworks starting so we pulled over, got out of the car and saw another show. I did not even carry my camera this time. I just wanted to enjoy the show. My mother in law did take some pictures so I am going to ask can I have some copies. Oh, and we did not get bit by any mosquitioes. My husband bought some of the wipes, I think they made by Cutter and they worked great! It was a wonderfully exhausting day
