Posted By 1stopmom On Sunday, March 7th 2010 In Blogging, Featured Tags: Blogging, companiesI hate rudeness and I am HUGE on manners. From not only each other but companies as well. Horrible customer service in any form is one of biggest pet peeve. Ask my husband. There are some companies to this day I will never deal with again because of poor customer service I experienced years ago. After all it is my money and I will decided who to spend it with. Anyways, yesterday while at the library I was catching up on Facebook posts and came across a post from Barefoot Mommies thanks to J. Leigh Designz :) Barefoot Mommies is a site I am a huge fan of and to hear of a company treating her badly rubbed me the wrong way. It made me angry and I got even more angry that I could not figure out how to tell people about it on Facebook from my iPod. And I just knew a comment would not be enough for me so I decided to blog about it. Barefoot Mommies contacted Colorado Pen about working with them. Instead of a simple no, she was insulted and told to get a real job. The company apparently thinks it is funny that consumers would take the time out of their day to write them and complain. You have to go check out the post.
I want to help spread the word about this because I talk it when a company does something I like. It only makes sense to also talk about a company does something I do not like.
Even though blogging is fun it is also a lot of work. I am not saying that every company should yes to every blogger that approaches them but …….
A SIMPLE NO WILL DO
Renee is even in my dreams
Posted By 1stopmom On Thursday, March 4th 2010 In Featured, a day in the life Tags: funnyI just love Renee from Cutie Booty Cakes. I even had the pleasure of meeting her last year. She is just as nice and sweet in person. So of course I follow her tweets and her updates on Facebook. She has been doing a great job of losing weight and encouraging others to get healthy. She always asks “Have you exercised today?”. As of yet I have not been able to say yes. But last night she was in my dream. It is a little pitiful but I was jumping up and down with a huge smile on my face waiting for her to as that question. When she did, I was like Yes I did and showed her everything I did on my Wii Fit. I don’t know what is worse the dream or me waking up and not realizing until later in the day the dream was not real and in reality I did not work out at all!!
The View Ambassador: What’s Going On
Posted By 1stopmom On Tuesday, March 2nd 2010 In Featured, T.V. Shows
Well this week one of the main hot topics was about the tragedy at Sea World. If you have not heard what happened, a killer whale attacked and killed a trainer in front of at least two dozen tourists. Dawn Brancheau was a veteran trainer who has worked at Sea World since 1994. The women of The View definitely had their own opinions regarding animals used for entertainment. Sherri mentioned how she recently took her son Jeffrey to the circus and did not like how the animals were taught to do tricks like pets. Whoppi went on to say that she hoped that the circus would never go away because for a lot of kids, this was the only way a lot kids were able to see animals.
Sherri Shepherd announced that she will be co hosting the official Oscar Red Carpet pre-show. I don’t usually watch that, but I will be checking in to see what off the wall stuff Sherri just might say. Plus I want to check out her hair!!
What’s coming up this week:
• March 3: This show will feature the best of “View Tube,” including backstage antics and celebrity exit interviews. Lisa Kudrow of “Who Do You Think You Are” will be joining the hosts as well.
• March 4: Celebrity guest co-host Valerie Bertinelli, former Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin from Broadway’s “The Miracle Worker,” Mia Wasikowska from Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland,” and a musical performance from Broadway’s “Fela” will be featured on this jam-packed episode.
• March 5: The View’s “Road to the Oscars” episode welcomes former Oscar nominee Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes and “Fashion Friday” celebrates “The History of Oscar Fashions” with a two-part look back at some of the most memorable – and perhaps forgettable – Oscar hits and misses, with host and celebrity stylist Robert Verdi. Hosts of “At the Movies” Michael Phillips and Tony Scott will also be on set to unveil their 2010 Oscar predictions.
In case anyone forgets, if you miss an episode of The View, you can always catch full episodes online.
“I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for ABC Daytime and will receive a tote bag or other The View branded items to facilitate my review.
