Delicious Bacon Cheddar Dip

This easy Bacon Cheddar Dip is a delicious snack!bacon cheddar dip

I never used to be a big dip person. I would eat it maybe once or twice a year and that was it. But these last few years I have had it a few times a month.  My daughter Kayla makes a Spinach and Artichoke dip that the entire family likes to snack on. Savannah and I like to add some crispy bacon pieces into ours. There are so many times when dip makes the perfect the snack. While watching the big game, parties and family game night.  My family enjoys eating a tasty dip while watching movies or our favorite shows.

My recipe for Bacon Cheddar Dip is easy to make and delicious. You know I love almost anything that has bacon in it!

5 Ways To Tackle A Tasty Game Day Menu Plus a Wings Recipe

No matter who you are rooting for on game day, delicious food is a part of the festivities. Just like your favorite sports team, hosting a winning big-game party or tailgate takes planning, preparation and teamwork. To make your festivities fun-filled, remember these entertaining tips that are sure to score big with your fans.

Scatter the refreshments. Help direct movement and traffic flow by setting up food stations. Using different rooms or areas helps prevent congestion and encourages guests to mingle. Try placing finger foods and other appetizers in a couple of locations, beverages in another area and desserts in yet another space.

Embrace variety. Take into account taste preferences and dietary needs, and have an assortment of food and drinks available. Offer spicy options along with less seasoned dishes, both indulgent and better-for-you treats, plus an array of beverages for drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

Build your roster. If your party is a potluck, encourage guests to sign up for dishes so you don’t end up with multiple versions of the same thing. Create a discussion group online, or simply ask guests to indicate what they’ll bring along with their RSVP.

Don’t forget the dips. Wings are a tailgating staple, and dips are a great way to complement those zesty flavors or cool the heat, but you may find yourself in a team rivalry when it comes to the preferred dip at the game day bash: ranch or bleu cheese dressing? Both pair well with a range of wing flavors, so these dips are sure to be crowd pleasers. The delicious combination of fresh herb and vegetable flavors make Litehouse Homestyle Ranch a perfect party choice, and Litehouse Chunky Bleu Cheese features fresh buttermilk, homemade mayonnaise and a blend of spices as the backdrop for award-winning artisan blue cheese chunks that will make your fellow sports fans cheer for more.

Expand on tradition. Tailgating is a time-honored tradition, and the food lineup is often based on familiar fare. Along with those fan favorites, don’t be afraid to put some new flavors into play, such as these Sticky Sesame Chicken Wings that add a tangy ethnic flair to traditional wings.

Give A Mouse A Christmas Cookie Special Plus A Recipe!

This is a sponsored post. Opinions 100% my own.
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. I love buying gifts and all the colorful decorations. We always wait until after Thanksgiving to really get into the holiday spirit. Not too long though. Like most people I like to get my tree and decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. Then I like to relax with a holiday movie.

This year on November 25th, we plan on checking out If You Give A Mouse A Christmas Cookie on Amazon streaming. This animated holiday special is based on the classic If You Give a Mouse a Cookie book series written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. I remember reading this book to my children when they were growing up.  I think it will be fun to watch the story come to life with a holiday theme.

In the special, it’s holiday time and in Mouse’s house that means Christmas cookies (including a special one for Santa, of course!), caroling with friends…and one nearly-destroyed holiday pageant. Can Mouse and his animal friends save the show without getting utterly distracted along the way? It’s a wild ride as Mouse and his friends reinforce for young viewers the friendship and caring that’s at the heart of the holiday season. Like the books, If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie special is centered on an “if… then” narrative structure that teaches cause and effect and encourages creativity among children.

If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie also features an original song, “Christmas Cookie Song,” by Lisa Loeb, available exclusively on Amazon Music to download and stream November 25.

When we have family movie night I like to make special treats. It makes the night that more special.  I have a recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Stuffed Cookies that will be perfect to snack on while watching If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie on Amazon.

I have been using Nielsen-Massey extracts in my cooking for a while now. I love the quality of their products and the way they taste. They carry a variety of flavors of extract but it is the season for Peppermint.

There are so many ways you can use peppermint extract. Cookies, cakes, brownies, hot chocolate, tea and cocktails. November and December are very busy months for parties.  I have a few tips from Nielsen-Massey to help you throw a fun cocktail party this holiday season.

Visit your local thrift shop to pick up new or vintage mismatched cocktail glasses. No need to adorn each glass with a marker. Throw a party where each glass has a unique and fun look. The glasses can even serve as party favors for guests when the evening is over.

Stick with the theme. Create a menu of bite-sized indulgences. Your menu can be an array of appetizers that lead right into a fun dessert spread. Nielsen-Massey’s Peppermint Mocha Pana Cotta can be served in mini cocktail glasses or small juice glasses, making it easy for guests to continue mingling while they enjoy a bite or two.

Serve one signature yet versatile drink that pairs with your appetizers and dessertSet up a drink table or bar with Nielsen-Massey flavors, bitters, and special tonics so that your guests can experiment, but choose one drink to highlight the night. This Peppermint Mocha cocktail (recipe below) made with Pure Peppermint Extract, Amaro, Vanilla Syrup and espresso-infused vodka pairs with soft cheeses, savory pork and is a delicious finish matched with even the richest chocolate dessert.
