Ok, I admit it. I have turned into one of those people who says “I have an app for that”. I try to catch myself but it just slips out, lol. It is so obvious how much I love my iPod Touch. I am a firm believer in every little bit of money can quickly add up. When I heard about WeReward.com it caught my attention. Why? It lets you earn money while using your iPhone!! Now I have not made the transition to getting an iPhone just yet but I want to. It is just a little hard to make that leap and plus I want to get a really good deal. Anyways, We Reward is an app where you earn points for doing stuff in real life. These tasks can include making purchases or checking in at a business and taking a picture. There are different reward points for each task. Every point equals one penny. When you reach 1,ooo points, which is $10, you can cash out with PayPal. This sounds like a perfect way to earn some extra money while visiting the places you probably already go to anyways. You can even refer friends and earn points that way. So what do you think, will you Download the App and give it a try?

If you don’t have an iPhone you can see the app in action by watching this video.

I have heard a little about Sponsored Tweets and have seen them on the tweets of some of my favorite bloggers. I admit I am a little curious about it myself. I mean I am not looking for a quick easy way to get rich overnight. But anything extra can go a long way, especially when it comes to double coupon Wednesdays! Sponsored Tweets is pretty simple, it does not have a long drawn out process to go through. You can sign up through your Twitter account. Sponsored Tweets has a suggested price you can charge for tweets but if you do not think that is enough I am sure you raise the price. Through your account settings you are also able to control what type of advertising you want to be shown, this way you won’t shock your family friendly followers with a bunch of “mature” ads. You can change your change your keyword, your category, choose how to be notified, even the type of ad you want. You can write it or have the advertiser write it. I would just have them do it. Less stress for me. I think I am going to give it a try. See if works. I think it might be interesting, there are even some celebrities who are doing it! If you sign up for sponsored tweets please let me know what you think of it.

I believe the time has come. I need to find a job. It is so hard though. I love being here when my family needs me for homework or projects or because they are sick. My social anxiety makes it very hard to me to go out into the real world to get a job although I am very capable. So that leaves working from home. I just love to learn new stuff everyday. I like to do help people with whatever skills I do have. I want to be more creative. My biggest worry is I do not want to step on anyone’s toes. I want to be able to contribute to my family and the world with something meaningful. The problem may be I have too many options. I think I need to find a mentor of some sort. There is so much I want 1stopmom to grow into. I really want to help people. I guess it is time to start my journey. I am going to put my all into though. Any advice or suggestions please leave them in a comment. I would appreciate it.

Well, DH is not getting any overtime next week. He did not get any this week either. That is not really bad because he is home and we are able to get some stuff done. I just budget according to checks with overtime pay not regular pay. I always say I am not going to do it but then we go long stretches with lots of overtime and I forget. Well guess what, I have been reminded!!! I will try to better. So remember, always budget somewhat beneath your means not at the very top or over. I know, seems like common sense, but for some reason I have lost my sense for this week. That is probably why this post is all over the place. But my next one will be better, promise!! I have just been working on my sites, trying to spring clean with 4 kids driving me crazy, read some of the great things I have picked up from the library, my baby was sick for 2 days and do some finance stuff! Whew, a busy week. And there is even more but I will have to tell you about it later today.

I love my bank because it has a pretty good rewards program where we get money back. That is a big plus in my book. Another reason I am showing my bank “love” is because I was going through my mail and found 2 coupons for a free fee reversal. This means if for some reason I have a overdraft, I give the bank my coupon and they erase the $39 overdraft fee! This is just one of those things that I am glad to have in hopes that I will not need it. And I would like to give myself a little pat on the back because we have had no overdrafts since the beginning of the new year!!! (That is a big deal since I used to get 3-8 overdrafts a month.)

I just found out they have a savings plan for kids. I think that is a great idea because while I am learning how to make better money decisions I would like to teach my kids about money right from the start. It is called the

Free & Easy Kids Club Savings Account

By making it fun and rewarding to save, the Free and Easy Kids Club savings account helps teach savings habits that kids can take into adulthood!

Create Great Savings Habits:

Just $10 to open and receive FREE gift: kids can start with what’s in their piggy bank!

Prizes awarded for deposits: Kids receive a prize whenever they make a deposit (one per day please!) so they look forward to saving!

Interest earning: Kids can watch their money grow and learn how interest works.

Monthly statement: Kids get a statement showing how much they’ve saved, which encourages more saving!

Free & Easy Kids Club website: fun activities, games and practical tips for kids and parents on allowance, savings and more can be found at our Kids Club Website!

Flexibility for small and big savers:

Every dollar counts: Kids are rewarded for deposits of just $1 but we hope they save much more!

Automatic deposits: Adults can set up systematic deposits in any amount from their checking or savings account into their child’s account.

No monthly service fees or minimum balance requirements

Any adult including parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles can open an account for the special children in their lives.

I think this will encourage even the youngest member of our family to save. I plan on signing the kids up next week.

Now I saw this title and of course made my “yeah right” face. I mean can it really be true? So I followed the link and found a few good ideas. But keep in mind that I am super picky. There are a lot of things I just will not eat. So a “normal” person might find more than just a few recipes.

There is number 24. Take thinly sliced chicken breast , dredge through cornmeal or flour, simmer for a few minutes and make a sandwich. Now I think even I can try that! I have my own version of number 93. I use brats or italian sausage cut them up and fry for a few minutes. I serve it with rice and a veggie. Pretty simple and the kids love it.

I used to be one of those people who did not believe every little bits counts when it comes to making money. I used to think that those smaller amounts of money that you can earn were all a complete waste of time. I was really wrong. There are times when every little bit adds up to pretty nice amount.

I have the perfect example. My DH works for a company that offer shift premiums for working those less desirable shifts. One of his shift premiums is for $.50 per hour. That adds up to about $20.00 a week. For the entire year it added up to $952.59!!! My DH works a lot of overtime, and it is mostly because he is always available to go in a moments notice (unless he is fishing) . The shift premium is also good for when he works over time. The amount is then $.75 per hour. For 2007 that amount equaled $575.58!! My DH is even surprised at the amount it added up to. We never realized how much that little bit matters.

Yesterday Payperpost finally approved my blog. That made me happy because I really want to be successful at earning money online. Well I did my first post yesterday and it was approved. That is not even the best part, the post pays $20!!! I am so excited. I was getting a little discouraged because I was not having much luck with the pay per click sites. I really feel motivated now and can not wait to earn more money to put towards my debt.
