Simply Earth Essential Oils Subscription Box Review

1StopMom was provided with free product for review purposes. Opinions 100% my own.

I was very happy when Simply Earth asked me to review their monthly subscription box. This one is a little bit different because it involves essential oils. Essential oils are natural oils typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic fragrance of the plant or other source from which it is extracted.

They are used in various ways including aromatherapy to support mental health, in bath and beauty products and natural cleaning solutions. I have used a few different oils in the past. Mostly Lavender and Peppermint.  I love to use Peppermint essential oil. I made a spray solution I use to keep ants out of our home. It works very well. I even add a few drops to my mop water.

Simply Earth sent me a diffuser and their November subscription box to review.

Simply Earth Diffuser and essential oils review

Their purpose is building Simply Earth to be company that loves and serves their employees, customers and the World. One way they love and serve is by giving 13% of their profits to organization that are fighting to end human trafficking.

Essential Oil Diffuser

A diffuser is a great way to get different aromas in the air from your essential oils.

simply earth diffuser

This diffuser came with a top cover, inside cover, measuring cup and a DC jack. It is very easy to use:

  • Place diffuser on a flat surface
  • Remove both covers and pour water into the diffuser using the measuring cup
  • Add 2-3 drops of essential oils
  • Put both covers back on
  • Plug in diffuser and turn on

There is a easy to use button on the bottom of the diffuser to control the lights and how long you want it to be on. I like that there is a sleep mode.

You don’t have to worry about the diffuser running when the water is all gone. It automatically shuts itself off when there is a limited amount of water in the tank.

Simply Earth Recipe Subscription Box

Simply Earth Essential Oil review

This subscription box makes it very easy to get started. Each month you are sent 6-7 essential oil recipes and the key ingredients you need to make them. There is no guess work at all! In the November box you will receive:

Rosemary Essential Oil

simply earth rosemary essential oilRosemary essential oil has a woody and herbal aroma, like trees. It can be used for mental clarity while relieving fatigue. It can also help with hair growth.  There is a recipe for Christmas Air Freshener that uses Pine and Rosemary essential oil included in the box.

Frankincense Essential Oil

The Happy Joy essential oil blend has a fruity floral aroma.  It is used to uplift your mood and reduce anxiety.  It is made of Geranium, Sweet Orange, Neroli, Grapefruit and Ylang Ylang essential oils. I have used this in my diffuser and I love the scent! It kept me pretty calm too.

Pine Essential Oil

simply earth pine essential oil review

The Pine essential oil has a evergreen and woody aroma. It reminds of a certain floor cleaner that I grew up smelling. Now I will be making my own. The woody aroma also makes me think about Christmas and the holidays! This oil can be used in a diffuser to relax your body and energize your mind. It also has disinfecting properties so you can add it to your toilet bowl or make some household cleaner with it.

Curb Hunger Roll On

curb hunger essential oils

Curb Hunger is a roll on made up of a blend of different oils. The ingredients are Grapefruit, Spearmint and Lavender essentials oils diluted in Coconut Oil. I have been using for a few days. So far I have noticed I am not as hungry when I use it, I definitely like that. All you do is rub a little on your stomach. Very easy to use!

October Glossy Box Review

I signed up for Glossy Box back in August when they had a promotion for buy 1 get 2 free. That sounded like a pretty good deal! So make sure you sign up for their emails.  I got 4 boxes in September and 1 this month. That was a little odd to me. I guess I got the August and September boxes in the same month.

glossy box review

One thing I do like about the Glossybox is they include products that I would not necessarily come across during my regular shopping for beauty products. With so many subscription boxes available, sometimes you get a lot of repeat products.

OGX Beauty

OGX root stimulator spray glossy box

$8: This spray encourages a healthy scalp and prevents fallout caused by breakage. It has a minty fragrance.

decleor review glossy box

$22: 100% natural serum oil for moisturizing your face. Concentrated hazelnut botanical oil enriched with essential oils of neroli, sandalwood and petitgrain. The sandalwood scent is very strong.

unani glossy box

$18: Milk cleanser made to purify skin. Very light scent and gentle on skin. After using it once my face was not dry and a little goes a long way.

emite lip and cheek tint review

emite glossy box review

$19: This is a lip and cheek tint. I won’t be using it on my cheeks but I like how it looks on my lips. The shade is very pretty. I looked online but I could not find a name for this color.  It is a little bit dry, but I just added a so lip gloss on top and was fine. I like the packaging a lot, the tube is very cute!

Masque Bar

masque bar face mask glossy box

$3.33: This face mask is supposed to help with tightening pores and hydrating skin. I have not tried it yet but I love face masks!

The Glossy Box costs $20 and the value of all these products equal up to $70.33 This is good deal. I will pretty much use everything in this box so nothing is going to waste.

Get PopSugar Subscription Boxes At A Discount From Gilt City

Subscription boxes are very popular these days. You can pretty much find a subscription box for just about everything. Comic books, coffee, pet products, teas and more. I like the must have boxes from PopSugar. They include a nice mix of beauty, food, fashion and home products. I have received a few of their boxes but I took a break for the summer. I love their boxes but $40 a box can add up.

Loved And Blessed Subscription Box Review {Plus a 1 Year Subscription Giveaway}

In the last year or so I have fallen in love with subscription boxes. I like to receive packages in the mail that introduce me to new products or make me feel happy at a reasonable price. This month I was sent a Loved and Blessed subscription box to try out.

loved and blessed subscription box review

This box is different from other subscription boxes I have had before because it is not centered around products. The box is meant to be a source of encouragement. A reminder that no matter how hard life gets that you need to walk in faith throughout your day. There is a different theme each month and the box can include stationary, home decor, jewelry, prayer accessories and more.

The theme for the box I received was Comfort. Inside of my box there was a:

  • Mini Poster
  • Encouragement Kit to comfort someone else
  • 2 scripture cards
  • Removable and repositionable reminder sticker
  • Chiming Necklace
  • Keepsake theme card

Loved and Blessed Scripture Card 1love and blessed chiming necklace

I was not sure what to really expect in the box but I was happy about what was included. I really liked the comfort card. I pray daily for strength and this is a nice reminder to not forget about God.

I like the overall message of the Loved and Blessed box. To be inspired to encourage others is a wonderful thing. Another great thing about this box is part of the proceeds for every box is donated to help people experiencing homelessness.

Love and Blessed Subscription boxes are $10 plus $3 shipping and handling.  You can buy any of the other themed boxes in their shop.

Target Beauty Box: January 2016

Target Beauty Box January 2016

I was able to catch the Target Beauty Box again! This time there were two for $7 each. As soon as I found out they were available I shared the news on Twitter and Facebook.

I quickly headed over to the Target website and placed my order for both boxes. My first box is called the Target Renewal Beauty Box.

Target Beauty Box

Scunci Headband $5.99

I am glad that I was sent a grey one. It is one of favorite colors. The headband is very soft and snaps back pretty well. On the back of the tag there is a coupon to save $1 on the purchase any Scunci purchase.  There are grips braided into the head band to prevent sliding.

Target Beauty BoxHada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Facial Mask $3.75

A 100% cotton mask. Easy to use. Simply unfold, apply mask and leave on for 10 minutes. There is no need to rinse anything off.

Target Beauty Box

Laneige BB Cushion Foundation Sample

This include a make up puff and three foundation samples. I was unable to use this because the options were light, medium and medium dark. The shades were just too light for my  skin complexion. This type of foundation is different from what I have seen before. There is a sponge saturated in foundation and you use the puff to apply it. I would love to get my hands on a sample of the dark shade.

Target Beauty Box

Attitude Sample

There were two small samples. I liked that these were a product I have never tried before. They are hypo-allergenic, cruelty free and vegan. My daughter liked that it is plant based.

target beauty box

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer Sample

I have seen the commercials for this so I was happy to see that it was included in this box. There are three different kinds, and this one is made with Monoi Oil. This one does not require you to rinse it off after you apply it in the shower.

Target Beauty BoxDegree Motionsense DrySpray $5.99

So far I like this. The fresh energy scent smells pretty good. When I sprayed it fumes were all around me but it wasn’t a big problem for me.  They disappeared within a few seconds. I like how I don’t have that wet feeling after applying it.

Target beauty box

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara $8.99

I haven’t had a chance to try this mascara yet but I am looking forward to it. This one is supposed to add volume, length and definition. I like the sleek looking tube too!

Target Beauty Box Review

Caress Love Forever Body Wash Sample

I love these smaller bottle of body washes. It is a great way to try a new scent and I love to use them when I travel. I am loving this Love Forever scent. It lasts a really long time too. Like longer than 24 hours. It is supposed to have to release more of the fragrance whenever your skin is touched but that it pretty hard to test. I like this so much I am going to buy some full sized bottles before it is gone because it is a limited edition.

The second box I received was the Target Refresh Beauty Box.

Simple Micellar Wipes

Simple Micellar Wipes $6.99

Cleans makeup from face while hydrating. Made with no chemicals, dyes or perfumes. Target Beauty Box Review

Scunci Hair Ties Sample

My daughters like these. They don’t seem to stretch out of shape. There is a $1 off coupon on the back of the tag.

Nip and Fab

Nip + Fab Exfoliating Facial Pads Sample

This sample came with 5 exfoliating pads. They were very moist and have a citrus scent. My skin loves products with witch hazel so I will probably buy these. These do not dry my skin out at all.

Target Beauty Box January

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Sample

This body lotion is another type that you use in the shower. You do have to rinse it off after using and before you get out of the shower.

Frizz ease

John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Spray Sample

I don’t use hair spray so I gave this sample to my daughter. She has one of those heads that beauty schools use to learn different hair styles.

Marlowe Body lotion

Marlowe Body Lotion Sample

This lotion is very moisturizing. I noticed how soft it made my hands and skin immediately. The passionflower scent is very light. It is paraben and phthalate free. I really like this sample.

Clear Men Scalp Therapy Shampoo and ConditionerClear Men Scalp Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner Sample

My husband and son like 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner so I have them this sample.

Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Conditioner

Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Conditioner Sample

I gave this sample for my daughter to use when she is practicing different hair styles.

Acure Day Cream

Acure Day Cream Sample

I have not had a chance to try this yet. I don’t like to try a bunch of new products at once in case they have any type of side effects. This is gluten free and has no fragrance.

I was pretty happy with both of the Target Beauty Boxes. They arrived quickly. After placing my order I received my boxes within 3-4 days. You are able to see what is included in each purchase so there is no surprise. I will continue to order them as long as I see they are available.  A $3 off coupon is in each box to use on a purchase of $15 or more of beauty products. These boxes are a great deal and I love the variety. I ended up finding a few products I will buy in the future.

Have you tried Target’s Beauty Boxes yet?

Holiday Gift Guide: Art Therapy Collection Coloring Book Subscription

1StopMom Holiday Gift Guide

Sample provided for review purposes. Opinions are 100% my own.

Adult coloring books have really been popular the last few months. They are so many to choose from. I recently found out that there is a subscription service for adult coloring books, Art Therapy Collection.

art therapy adult coloring book subscription

The Art Therapy Collection is different from traditional adult coloring books because you get more than just pages to color. In addition to the beautiful designs in each issue, there are also inspiring hints and tips to boost your wellbeing.  I get so busy sometimes that I forget about myself. It is so important to remember to take care of yourself. It is ok to relax sometimes and to do things that make you happy.

Included in each magazine:

  • Colour Me Happy

art therapy collection colour me happy

A different color is highlighted in each issue. I like learning about the different effects that colors can have.

  • Sketchpad: Perfect when you only have a few moments to relax. These doodles are easy to color in and cut out to use in cards or to decorate your wall.
  • Colour Me Calm:

adult coloring book

All of designs fill an entire page and easily tear out.  There is even a spot on the coloring page to add your name and the date. I was happy with the variety of designs in each magazine. There is even a color by number numbers pattern for those days I just want to color.

adult coloring book

  • Ten Minute Mindfulness: Short meditation exercises to help you decompress. These exercises are a great way to focus on bringing positive thinking into your day.
  • Colour With Confidence: Full of tips of artists’ techniques to make your finished designs look even more impressive.

The Art Therapy Collection is great for yourself or as a gift. I like the idea of getting a new magazine each week. An added bonus is that each issue is complemented by pencils or markers specially selected in a full spectrum of colors to add your own creative touch to the designs. This is a great way to grow your art supply collection!

Right now you can get issues 1 and 2 plus a free pencil case for just $4.95 and no S&H .
Get issues 2 and 3 plus a free magazine tidy box and free coloring board for the special price of $9.90 and just $1 S&H per issue.  Each issue thereafter is $4.95 each + $1 S&H per issue. Visit the Art Therapy Collection website for more information.

wrestle crate logo

Wrestle Crate is the only present day Wrestling themed subscription service. This simple project has turned into a lifelong journey of a father and son combining their love of professional wrestling to create the ultimate modern day tag team!

I have been a fan of wrestling since the days of Junk Yard Dog. Yeah, that was a long time ago. My son and Husband also love to watch wrestling and watch it whenever they can.  I was happy to find out that is a monthly subscription box for wrestling fans.

Wrestle Crate ships out a box every month that consists of a variety of wrestling memorabilia. There are four different subscriptions to choose from:

  • Standard $14.99
  • Standard (XXL and up) $16.49
  • Ultimate $29.99

I was sent the standard Wrestle Crate box to review.

I think that Wrestle Crate is a pretty good value at $14.99.  The entire box of products are worth almost $30. I received seven items which range from clothing to collectibles. I l like that sometimes you will be surprised with a shirt in your box. Now I am curious about the Ultimate box subscription. It would be pretty cool to get autographs and even more products! This would make a great gift for a wrestling fan of any age. Wrestle Crate is definitely a must have box, especially for collectors.

Buy a Wrestle Crate subscription box starting at $14.99 .
