I have a lot of pictures all on various memory cards throughout my home. When I can find them, I do something with them. Every Monday this will be my little space to share all the other pictures. Welcome to this week’s Cleaning Out My Camera.

These are from TJ’s birthday in January. It was his golden birthday, 1-11-11. He turned 11 years old. His sisters and I made cupcakes. A really big one and a bunch of smaller ones. His favorite color is yellow so we tried to work that in. Kayla made him a super tiny birthday card.  TJ finally was able to get his very own pet, a gecko he named Ralph.

I think it is pretty cool that TJ is celebrating his 11th birthday today. On 1-11-11 he turns 11. Since it is his “golden” birthday, I promised him no embarrassing pictures of him sleeping or doing something undeniably adorable as a toddler. He definitely is growing up now. TJ wants more privacy from his sister and developing  his own taste in clothes. He loves dinosaurs and anything related to nature. He even wants to work out now to get some muscles! Next thing you know he will be wanting to date. I can’t even think that far ahead!

Have a very Happy Birthday TJ. We love you!!!

Since the weather is starting to warm up a little the critters are coming out. We are seeing deer, rabbits, turkey you know, wildlife. This is expected since we live right next to a nature preserve. Well lately the kids have been seeing snakes. Jazz is terrified of snakes so she has not been very happy. This morning before breakfast Tj, K.K. and Nannah went outside to catch the snakes. I’m thinking ok, go for it. I never thought they would really catch it! Imagine my surprise when my hubby comes running in the house asking for my camera. I can not believe my babies caught it and were not scared. Well, I can believe it a little because Tj loves Animal Planet and watches it every chance he gets. For those of you who don’t know, he is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to animals and dinosaurs. He knows it all and teaches us everything he learns. Here are the pictures. As you will see, K.K. and Nannah were not even scared.

My son decided it was time for a movie on Saturday and since he brought it up he got to pick. Anyone that knows Tj knows that his world revolves around dinosaurs. And if I do say so myself, he is the smartest little boy I know, especially when it comes to dinosaurs. So can you guess what he picked? Jurassic Park 3. I think it was a pretty good choice because he could have picked a really long dinosaur documentary and sorry but I do not think I would be able to sit that long. While watching the movie with the kids I thought back to when he we gave him his first dinosaur. He was not even 1 yet! I bought it as a souvenir and I had no idea how taken it would be with dinosaurs in general. His love for dinosaurs definitely rubs off on every person he meets. I think others are just amazed at how much he actually knows about the subject. It was actually nice to watch Jurassic Park 3 on the projector since it has been a while since we all saw it. I actually even jumped a few times!! TJ had so much fun, he knew all types of facts about every dinosaur on screen. We actually all found ourselves asking him questions. He is only 8 but I am not sure I am ready for him to grow up yet. Even though this picture is from when he just turned 1, it seems like yesterday. I don’t know how a movie about dinosaurs could send me down memory lane and make me a little teary eyed but it did.
