Complete Month Of Meals Collection Cookbook Giveaway

November is National Diabetes Month. Nearly half of all American adults have diabetes or prediabetes, yet most don’t understand the life-long burden of this chronic illness or the 24/7 work it takes to effectively manage diabetes. There are a few members of my family who have diabetes. I have seen it handled with medication, exercising and changing eating habits.

Diabetes is a complex health condition that affects millions of people and without proper management, can lead to serious complications. Unaddressed, diabetes takes a heavy toll medically, financially and individually. People with diabetes are at an increased risk for other serious health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, amputation and blindness.

People with diabetes need to make healthy food choices, stay at a healthy weight, move more every day, and take their medicine even when they feel good. It’s a lot to do but it is worth it in the long run! Support from loved ones also can help.

Changing your eating habits can be overwhelming. You are constantly worrying about what can you eat.  You want to eat well without feeling deprived.  A good cookbook can help a lot with this. I was recently sent the Complete Month of Meals Collection to check out. It has hundreds of diabetes-friendly recipes and nearly limitless meal combinations.

The first thing I noticed when I opened this cookbook was the three-part, split-page design. There are 40 recipe cards in each category, breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the front of each card is the recipe ingredients, instructions, serving size and cook time. On the back of each recipe card has all the nutritional information which includes calories, total fat, fiber, sugars and more. I like the way the recipe cards are designed because you can plan your meals for the day all on one page. You can mix up your meal plans easily which can be handy when you have calorie or carbohydrate goals to meet.

The Complete Month Of Meals Collection cookbook is full of hundreds of recipes and there are quite a few I would not mind trying.
