I love when Father’s Day comes around because I get a chance to spoil one of the best fathers I know, my Husband. He is everything I ever wanted in a Dad when we started this parenting journey 21 years ago. Patient, generous, loving, fair and kind.
He is a strong shoulder for them to lean on and is always there to listen with open ears and no judgement. He never complains, doesn’t ask for much and is happiest when he is fishing.
Father’s Day gives us an opportunity to show him just how much we appreciate and love him. Every year we try to surprise him with something different because we like to keep him on his toes. We celebrate him all day and Johnsonville gave us an idea to start the day right in a unique way. Bratfast in bed!
We live in Wisconsin and never get tired of eat Johnsonville Brats. We eat them year round and will even grill in the winter. So it makes perfect sense to surprise my husband with Bratfast in bed. He is the early riser in our house so he would never expect it.
We grilled him some of the original Johnsonville Brats. They offer different flavors but you can never go wrong with original. He loves his bread toasted so Kayla did that for him and they added coleslaw on top of the brat. Johnsonville sent us a food tray to deliver my husband’s Bratfast in bed. I included a Wisconsin Brat-y Mary and the remote for the tv.
The kids were pretty happy at the chance to do something for their Dad!
My husband was surprised because Father’s Day isn’t until Sunday so we caught him off guard! Kayla asked him did he mind having a brat for breakfast and of course he didn’t!
Bratfast in bed is a great way to surprise the special man in your life. Just add his favorite toppings and sides and start the day off right! Check out the Johnsonville Bratfast In Bed Video below:
