Netflix: What To Watch February 2018

I love my streaming services. I always look forward to the beginning of the month because it means new show and movies to watch. If I am looking some old favorites are added too. Netflix is celebrating the month of February with originality. They are bringing to the forefront a selection of diverse titles streaming with enough picks for the science-fiction slayers, fabulous fashion players, all around do-gooders and the Wayans brother lovers.

Below are incredibly fresh original series and films to look forward to for the next 28 days:

whats coming to netflix in february

  • Missing Stranger Things a little too much? Don’t be sad because the highly anticipated epic sci-fi series Altered Carbon debuts its first season on the streaming platform to keep you on your toes until then. The series, starring Tony winner Renée Elise Goldsberry (“Hamilton”) is set where after 250 years on ice, a prisoner returns to life in a new body with one chance to win his freedom: by solving a mind-bending murder. Goldberry plays rebel leader, Quellcrist Falconer where Joel Kinnaman (“Suicide Squad”) plays the role of a resurrected soldier working to figure out who murdered the person who happened to bring him back to life. The series also stars Hayley Law (“Riverdale”) and Ato Essandoh(“Chicago Med,” “Blue Bloods”). (Feb. 2)new to netflix february 2018
  • A mother will fight for justice, especially if it involves injustice against her family. Seven Seconds follows the death of a 15-year-old African American boy in Jersey City that sets off a police cover-up and a search for the truth. The 10-episode police crime drama stars newcomer Clare-Hope Ashitey as KJ Harper (“Doctor Foster”) and two-time Emmy Winner Regina King as Latrice Butler (“American Crime”) in a story depicting the unapologetically truthful human emotion surrounding the people behind the headlines. Russell Hornsby (“Fences”) is also featured in the series that launches on the platform on February 23new to netflix february 2018
  • For those who love a little bit of a revival – not the Eminem kind – Netflix revamps Queer Eye from the early 2000s and brings back the hit series that trades its original New York setting for communities in and around Atlanta, Georgia. This time starring Real World Philadelphia alum Karamo Brown, the brand new Fab 5 face some very tough missions as the show kicks off with full fashion ahead and ready to make a bang, one makeover at a time. • Ain’t nobody wanna mess with Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion but Coach Snoop? Now that’s the realest mentor on the block that everybody needs. Netflix teamed up with the Dogfather himself to bring the docuseries Coach Snoop: Season 1 to the platform, which follows Snoop as he creates a youth football league to keep at-risk kids off the streets and focused on their goals. Through hope and tough love, Snoop shows the kids how real champions are made. (Feb. 2)coach snoop on netflix
  • Pull up a seat bon appetit. Sit back and laugh this month with our favorite Wayans brother (you know he is) first original stand up special, Marlon Wayans: Woke-ish. The 1-hour special won’t be featuring Pops but will definitely bring in the raw jokes as Wayans shows off his woke-ish side. Wayans, Rick Alvarez, Steve Harris and Michael Rotenberg will produce the special taped in front of a live audience. (Feb. 27)
  • Whether you’re single, taken or etcetera this Valentine’s Day, know that there is a sweet romantic movie waiting for you on Netflix with Irreplaceable You When Abbie played by Gugu Mbatha Raw is diagnosed with cancer, she sets out on a humorous mission to find a new love for Sam, her fiancé and best friend since childhood. Kate Mckinnon, Christopher Walken and Michiel Huisman also star in the original film that shows the meaning of true soulmate-to-soulmate love. (Feb. 16)
