Amazon Prime Day Deals You Don’t Want To Miss!

This post contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase using one of these links I earn a small commission at no expense to you.

I have been an Amazon Prime member for years, since 2009. I do quite a bit of shopping on Amazon so it works for me to be a member and take advantage of that 2 day shipping. I also use a lot of the other services available to Prime members:

    • Amazon Music
    • Prime Reading
    • Prime Photos
    • Kindle First (free book every month)
    • Amazon Videos
    • Prime Now (free 2 hour shipping)
    • Prime Rewards
    • Washington Post Free Trial (free for 6 months)
    • Hands free shopping with Alexa

Since I am a very happy Amazon Prime member, I am looking forward to Prime Day. This is a special sale exclusively for Prime Members. You don’t have to worry if you are not a member, you can try it free for 30 days!

So you can try Prime for free and take advantage of  the Prime Day sales. If you don’t like it, it is easy to cancel.  But if you are like me, you end up keeping it because it is great deal with a lot of wonderful perks.

Prime Day is 30 hours of deals. Some items will go quick so make sure to download the Amazon App if you don’t want to miss out.  You can start checking out the deals on July 9th before they go live.  Shop deals as early as 9 pm ET on July 10th. Now Prime Day is officially July 11th but you can find a few deals right now.

Here are a few of my favorite Prime Day Deals that are currently live.

    Amazon Music Unlimited

I love Amazon Music Unlimited. I use it in my car and with my Echo Dot. I caught a deal last year where I got a few months free. There are two promotions going on right now.

Current User: Upgrade to the Family Plan and get two months free. Use promo code FAMILY

New User: Get four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for only $.99 each month. That is only $4! You will not find a better music streaming service for a better price.

    Kindle Unlimited

I can easily read a book a day. Sometimes more if it is part of a series. Kindle Unlimited is normally $9.99 a month and works perfectly for me. I can check out 10 books at a time and return them as needed. Right now there is a deal for 40% off a subscription. Three plans are available:

    • 6 month $44.95 (regular price $59.94)
    • 12 month $80.32 (regular price $119.88)
    • 24 months $143.86 (regular price $239.76)

I signed up for  the 24 month plan. That is a savings of almost $100! This is a definite win for me. I am happy this deal is available for current subscribers too. You can also purchase a gift subscription at these prices.  Kindle Unlimited allows you access to over 1 million books, audiobooks and even magazines!

I have been keeping an out for sales on keyboards. I need a backlit one because my black keyboard blends in with my black desk. Well I found one that is also a gaming keyboard for $44.99

The regular price is $79.99 so this is a great deal.  Of course I have already placed my order for this.

    More great Prime Day Deals!

    Have fun shopping!

Try These Sizzling Lamb Barbeque Swaps

Barbecue, grilling, cookout – no matter what you call it, cooking food over an open flame is practically an American pastime. Few other cuisines have such distinctive regional twists and terminology as this fiery favorite. Memphis loves its ribs, North Carolinians their pulled meats and Texas, Alabama and St. Louis, to name a few, have their own riffs on American favorites.

While each regional barbecue favorite is traditionally prepared with beef or pork, more adventurous eaters can adopt the same cooking and flavor techniques but use lamb instead. Swapping proteins doesn’t need to be difficult. For example, Californians who like tri-tip can recreate that Santa Maria-style flavor by mixing together salt, pepper, garlic and dried herbs to dry brine a boneless leg of lamb for 24 hours then grill it to their preferred doneness.

Milwaukee To Disney: Planning Our Disney World Trip

We recently took a drive from Milwaukee To Disney. My kids are getting older and I am not sure how many opportunities there will be for family time. So I figured why not do a road trip! Quite a few people looked at me like I was crazy when I told them my plans but it sounded like fun to me.

I have wanted to take my family to Disney World since I went there on a blog trip in 2009. Since we have not been on a family vacation in a few years I threw the idea out there to my husband back in January. I was really surprised he was all for it.
