Well I tried out Netflix on Wii yesterday and I have to say that I really like it so far. It took less than a minute to set up. Pretty much the same process as the Roku where you activate it on their website. The set up is different from the Roku because you get to see so much more than just what is added to your instant queue. You can search through what has been added recently which is a feature that the Roku is missing. I love that I am able to look through the different categories for a certain genre:
- Goofy comedies
- Scary Movies
- Visually striking
- Independent
- Television
- Comedy
- Children and family
- Thrillers
- Suspenseful Conspiracy
- Documentary
- Horror
- Recently watched
The Wii remote even feels pretty comfortable in my hand and I had no problem using it to scan through all the instant movie choices. This is the perfect set up for our living room. The only problem is you have to put the Netflix Wii disc in to use the instant streaming. Plus they sent it in an red envelope not a hard case. I am hoping we don’t lose it. It would have been much better to just have some type of software that installed directly to the Wii hard drive.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel comes out on Tuesday. I am hoping it can be for our movie night next week. I think that will be a great movie to start off Spring Break! We loved the first one and have been waiting to see the sequel.

If you have read my blog you know I am a ginormous movie lover. I did a review last year for
Last weekend our movie pick for Family Movie Night was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Have you had a chance to watch this yet? It has was on my Netflix queue list of movies to check out but somehow was moved down the list. I finally decided to scan my queue and move it to the top. We all enjoyed this one. Even my husband stayed up to catch the end. In my typical “mommy” mind set I kept wondering (out loud) with all the food dropping from the sky why didn’t they think to save some for later? At least freeze your favorites, lol. One of our favorite parts is when Flint has his first snowball fight with ice cream. He was running around town throwing snowballs at unprepared children and adults. We could not stop laughing and had to rewind it a few times! Steve the Monkey is pretty funny too. When I watched the credits later I noticed Bruce Campbell was the voice of the mayor. I am surprised I did not even catch it. I did catch the voices of James Caan and Mr. T though.

An odd comment
