I was on my Sister In Law’s blog, Milwaukee Brown Girl, and saw a great post idea. It is called Friday Five. Every Friday you share a post about five things. I like the idea behind this because the topics will vary each week. This is perfect for me so here is my first post for Friday Five. I have mentioned before how much my husband and I love going to the movies. So much that I weekly date night includes a visit to our favorite theater. 5 Movies I Want To See In The Next Month Hidden Figures I have heard good things about this movie. I want to take my entire family to see it. I think it is important to see strong and smart Africian American women in Continue Reading »

Happy 17th Birthday TJ!

Another year has gone by and today my only son turns 17. My baby boy. It is bittersweet thinking about how quickly time is going by. Happy Birthday TJ! You are growing into quite the young man. You have a good heart, creative, smart and kind. I could not ask for a better son. You probably thought I would choose an embarrassing picture of you include in this post. I almost did because you were just too cute as a baby. Instead I decided to go with a more recent picture that I love of you. You are pretty much always laughing and smiling. That is one of my favorite things about you. Continue to be the person you are. Always thinking of others and my dinosaur encyclopedia. I can’t wait to Continue Reading »

2016: Our Year In Review

2016 is almost over. I thought it would be fun to share what we did throughout the year. It is always fun to look back at the memories. I took the younger kids on our first trip without my Husband at the beginning of the year. We took the Megabus to Minneapolis. We were able to escape cabin fever as guests of the Radisson Blu Hotel. We experienced a lot of firsts on this trip. It was our first time visiting the Mall of America and travelling on the Megabus. We ate lots of great food and had a great time. I am hoping we can go back in 2017 as a family. My second oldest daughter, Savannah turned 18. It is hard to believe I am the parent of Continue Reading »

Surprizamals: Collect Them All!

Product was provided for review purposes. All opinions are my own. I love surprises and I know kids do too. I was recently sent a few Surprizamals from Beverly Hills Teddy Bear. Surprizamals are cute and tiny stuffed characters in a plastic ball. There are over 100 different characters to collect! The packaging does not reveal what is inside so it is always a surprise.  Each character has a different rarity ranging from common to rare. There are 3 different series in Surprizamals so far and each series has 12 different characters. We opened two of the balls and they both turned out to be purple stuffed animals, my favorite color! Attached to each stuffed animal is a tag that includes its name, birthday and favorite color. Maddie and Jinx are adorable Continue Reading »
