Slow Cooker Tofu Rolls Recipe

I have mentioned before how Kayla does not eat meat. I am experimenting with different things to ensure she has a variety of meals to eat. She really likes tofu and I wanted to surprise her with a dish I hoped she would love. I wanted something pretty simple so I pulled out my slow cooker, tofu and Old Bay Seasoning.

Old Bay Seasoning is what I reached for because I wanted to make sure the tofu had flavor. I usually just grab the seasoning salt and call it a day but I wanted something different. I have only been using Old Bay for the last year or so and we like how it tastes.

Slow Cooker Tofu Rolls

I used super firm tofu because I wanted it to hold its shape for the most part. Tofu is really easy to prepare for a meal. The most important thing is to press all the water out. I cut a small slit in the container and poured out the water. I then pressed the tofu while it was still in the container with my fingers.  After that I placed a paper towel on a plate, next the tofu and then another paper towel. I used my huge stock pot with a bag of potatoes inside to press the water out. I waited 10 minutes, changed the paper towels and did it again. Another 10 minutes and all the water was pressed out.

Slow Cooker Tofu Rolls

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 6 hours

Serving Size: 4 people


  • 1 block of tofu (pressed and cubed)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons Old Bay
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of celery (minced)
  • 4 deli rolls (toasted)


  1. Put the tofu, Old Bay and water into slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours
  2. In a bowl mix the tofu, mayonnaise, lemon juice and celery
  3. Serve on toasted deli rolls

These Slow Cooker Tofu Rolls turned out great. My son tried them with a little bit of hot sauce and liked the flavor. I will be making this again.  It is a delicious way to have tofu and by using a slow cooker there is no worries!

    Woooo 6 hrs cok time..any reason why these Torfu rolls takes that long? And dont they get rubbery being cooked that long? I have a slow cooker but its like a pressure cooker. Takes half the time.

      We just used the 6 hour setting because I left the house and was gone for that long. They were not rubbery at all. I am pretty sure they could be cooked for less time in a pressure cooker. I don’t have one of those yet, but hopefully soon!

    I got a slow cooker for Christmas and have been trying out different recipes however tofu will never be one. Don’t like the stuff. 🙁

    Looks yummy. I haven’t had tofu since I was young. I didn’t really like it but that could have been due to the fact I was still little, and that my mom had never made it before so it may not have been prepared properly.
