Now that is school is finally out for the summer, I like to keep an eye out for family friendly events the kids might be interested in it. I do not want here “I’m bored” from anyone this year. Beginning this Friday June 19, 2015 the Milwaukee Public Museum will be hosting its “Museum Overnights” in partnership with the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge.
This event is for children ages 6-12. The adventure begins at 6 pm and ends the following morning at 8 am. This is a great way to get a closer look at the museum’s exhibits and have a fun experience through flashlight exploration.
There are three dates for this summer with different themes.

Educators will show you objects from the musuem’s collections not normally available for public viewing. You’ll get the chance to examine fossils of your favorite dinosaurs, measure yourself against a Galapagos tortoise shell, and check out ancient Egyptian mummification artifacts.
