I have been offline for 3 months. Between health problems and major computer problems, I honestly was not sure if I would even be coming back to blogging.  I am so happy not to be M.I.A anymore.  The only downside is I have a lot of catching up to do. I am going to just take it one thing at a time.

I am looking forward to jumping back in, I definitely missed blogging. During my absence I learned a lot about what I want to do and not do when it comes to blogging and life. There’s going to be a few changes. I am ok with that though. I am trying to learn how to be content with the here and now. Sometimes I am such a rush to be a part of the next new thing, I am forgetting to be present for what is going on now.

Yep, my site is now green. Thanks to Online Leaf when you visit my blog you will not waste energy. It pretty much puts your site into energy saving mode after a few minutes of inactivity.   Since I use WordPress I just installed a plugin and it was ready to go.  So far I have not had any problems.

When you finally get your site tweaked “just right” and you get an idea from out of no where and mess your site up? Yep once again I was not able to leave well enough alone. I tried to add a forum (don’t know why exactly, thought it would be fun) and now I think my site is running super slooooooooow.Of course this happens when I have tons of other stuff to do. So if it is running slow, I apologize. I am currently trying to fix it. I would appreciate at if you would leave a comment if my site loads slow for you. Thanks

I found out today that Blog Engage has launched a new site called Blog Serp. It is almost a digg like blog directory. It should be a great way to get some backlinks. By the way if you have not heard of Blog Engage you should check it out. I joined it back in February and like it a lot. It is a way to promote those really good posts you write

For those that are new and have not seen the posts written about Meet My Friends Monday, it is basically where you introduce a blog you like to visit. It is nap time came up with this great idea of a way to show off your blogging friends.

This week for Meet My Friend Monday I would like to introduce Che’ Demi’s Boutique Blog. Even though I only recently discovered this blog it has become one of my favorites. What caught my eye is the weekly Sunday post called “Sunday Piece of Cake.” Every Sunday a guest writer shares poems, stories, parenting tips or inspirational stories. An added bonus of these posts are the recipes and pictures that are included. There is a great recipe for German Chocolate Upside Down cake that I can not wait to try for Christmas. I am always finding little tips that are useful when it comes to blogging but always misplace them. Well today over on blog oh blog, there was a post that was exactly what I was looking for. It is a list for 50 different blogging tools that every blogger should know about. Do you want to make your own favicon or logo? What about checking out everything about your site from who links to you to your page rank? If you are serious about blogging then you have to be serious about using the right tools to make you successful.

Well my laptop was acting pretty funky lately. It would freeze during shut down and my dvd rewriteable drive stopped working completely. Luckily I was able to restore it to factory default. Unfortunately I lost my entrecard drop list. So I am hoping I could get a little help from my fellow droppers. I would like to start a whole new list. I drop at least 600 a day but on a good day I can drop almost 800 cards. If you would like to add your site to my daily drop list please leave a comment with your site/blog addresss. Somehow I have developed a habit of writing about new blogs or sites I discover because I love to share when I learn new things. I don’t do it to get free stuff and I never even tell the blog owners about my posts. To me it is fun discovering new things and I use my blog as a way to keep track i guess.
Recently I received 2 rewards from a blogger I have come to admire, CutiebootyCakes. I look forward to reading her posts. Not only is she talented at making diaper cakes but she is so smart. She is also an amazing writer and I enjoy reading her post and learning from her. Now back to the awards she has given me. She gave me the Kick Ass Blog award and the Kind Blog award. I appreciate these awards because I respect the blogger that gave them to me and not just because these are my first awards ever. Well there are some rules that come with each award.
