Shred Sled® is a company that specializes in sports products for kids. They take having fun to a whole new level. We were sent Shred Sled® to try out recently and even I was excited! First of all it is made for ages 8 and up. This means adults too!  It is an unique board that  lets you combine the movements of skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding. I used to ride my uncle’s skateboard when I was little and even have the scraped up knees to prove it! I have bought “traditional” skateboards for my kids and they have fun with it. But once they tried the Shred Sled, they have made it clear they are not going back, lol. They like the Shred Sled for so many reasons.

It grabs your attention with it eye catching appearance. Instead of one long board, there are two oval shaped decks.  The kids really liked that and jumped right on. I was a little more scared, but it feels ok. The way it is made, your feet fit on it comfortably. Our feet did not slide or anything while we were on it.

Since it does not have a rigid board, you have a lot more flexibility. It just cries out for you to try to do some tricks. Unless you are a mom of four who has not been on anything that looks like a skateboard in years, lol. Yeah I fell. A few times. But it is so fun!! You have to twist your helps and legs to get moving so you are getting some exercise using this. I was not sure how the kids would take to it sense you don’t have to push off with your foot. But they love it!

The Shred Sled has 4 inline polyurethane wheels and aluminum alloy casters. This helps it to be stable and easy to control. One of the first things TJ said was the ride was really smooth. Nannah thought it would much tougher to control it but she is now an expert!

The only complaint my family has about the Shred Sled is we need a few more. Everyone wants their own! It is really a big hit. The Shred Sled is fun, easy to control and has a smooth ride. Now we just have to learn some tricks. TJ and Kayla are already working on it. Over at the Shred Sled site they do have some videos of tricks to check out. Ok, my Dad bought my kids a Wii I think about a year ago. Recently he decided to get one for himself. I thought great we should be able to send pics and notes back and forth easiliy. Well it was a little harder than I thought. I already had my Mii set up but my Dad had to set his up. Then we had to try to find each other. It took a while before we figured out that first you have to post your Mii. Then you are given an entry number that you should write down. You will need this number to give to your friend to add into your address book. You can also use this entry number to search for your friend. Once we were able to do I thought we started to send messages to each other. I am warning you right from the start it is not as fast as when you send an instant message. It is much slower. I am not sure why because both my Dad and I have this fiber optic internet that is pretty fast. It took a while when we sent pics back and forth too. Now I am working on convincing my dad to either get a game pass from Hollywood Video or join Gamefly. This is the most economical way to try out games to see if you really like them. Plus we have Mario Kart and he doesn’t but he wants to play against us from his house. However my dad does not want to pay $49.99 for Mario Kart. Personally I think it is worth it but then I love racing. If my dad gets the gamepass then we can at least play each other while he decides if he wants it or not.
Another issue we had is he had to pay 500 points to get on the internet. He is still kind of upset because when he bought it for us we were able to get the internet channel free.
It is still kind of weird how my family has really fallen in love with playing Wii. My dad takes his to my grandmother’s house so everyone can play. And I mean everyone. My grandmother, my aunts and uncles and even my soon to be 3 year old cousin. It’s cool to see the different generations together having fun. As of right now bowling is their number one favorite and golf is a close second. I can’t wait to let them play my Summer Sports game. Now that miniature golf is addictive!!

1. I love video games. I mean really, really love them. I have even got my family hooked. As a result we have Xbox, gamecube, nintendo ds, psp, wii, gameboy mirco, gameboy advance, playstation and the original nintendo. Since I love The Sims, we have it for all systems including the pc versions. I also have hundreds of pc games too.
2. I can not just leave my curtains open. For some reason I think a thief will look through our windows and case the joint. I think I watch too much CSI and Law and Order, lol
3. I can not use public restrooms. The idea of using them just grosses me out. The movie Rest Stop did not help the situation.
4. I love watching scary movies but they give me nightmares. For some reason I still watch them and the house has to be dark.
5. I can not eat or drink anything that has a sell by date that has expired. This drives my hubby crazy!! What is worse is my daughter does the same thing.
6. I want to buy an RV. I think they are just the coolest thing. I would love to travel the country with my hubby in one. All I need is my laptop and all he needs is his fishing pool.
7. I love to watch strange shows. I watch competitions. Especially Strongman, eating, bartending and cheerleading.

I was having a small mental block and came across this virtual bubblewrap game. It is so fun. I can’t stop playing I just keep trying to beat my best score. It is so addictive.

Six odd things about me:

1.I can not sleep with my back to the door. I have seen too many horror movies and my children walk very softly and scare the heck out of me
2. I absolutely hate if someone reaches into my popcorn bowl. I am not sure why but it really, really irks me.
3. I can not eat fish if my husband catches it. Don’t know why
4. You can call me and describe any movie and 99% of the time I can tell what movie it is. Even if I never saw it. (My movie collection has over 600 movies so would you expect anything else)
5. I love to take pictures but hate to be in pictures.
6. I used to be a really bad shopaholic. I would need to shop, buy stuff, feel guilty and then return more than half the stuff I bought.
