5 Reasons I Can’t Wait for Back to School

All winter long, I could not wait for summer. It was all I talked about it. It was so cold and it felt like we were stuck in the house all the time. Once summer arrived it would be so nice. No schedules, we can sleep in,the kids would get a much needed break and we could all really relax. Together.

Somewhere along the line I forgot I have four kids with very different personalities. Oh yeah, and I should have known they would all want to do different things all the time.

Jazz (17): only wants to go shopping and to the mall with anyone but us. Almost all family activities require a *sigh*

Nannah (13): full of attitude and convinced I am out to ruin her life because I will not buy her Coach shoes. Favorite phrase “What are we going to do today?”

TJ(11): has come to the conclusion there are too many girls in this house and I need to have a baby brother for him. All he wants to do is fish and catch snakes in our yard (and annoy his sisters)

Kayla (9): Even though I let her roller skate through the house and constantly find things for her to do, has taken the phrase “I’m bored” to a whole new level.

My dvr is filled with kids’ shows and Leverage keeps getting deleted along with Teen Mom
My house will not stay clean for longer than 10 minutes
I can not take anymore of the can you drop me of at *insert place here* and pick up my five other friends from all over the state and drop them back at home ?
I am tired of hearing, there is not anything to eat. Trust me there is always something to eat here
The. Constant.Arguing.

I am officially started my back to school shopping last week and I could not be happier. Can you tell it has been a long summer?

I love my kids but I can’t wait to miss them!

A few new discoveries

Recently I was visiting one of my favorite sites, MommyDaddyBlog, who just got a new makeover by the way and it is so cute. I was looking at their blogroll and visited a new blog. It is called Cutie Booty Cakes, isn’t that a cute name? The owner of Cutie Booty Cakes is Renee, first time mom to Mekhi. Cutie Booty Cakes are these adorable cakes made out of diapers so they are not edible, lol. Renee makes these cakes by hand using Pampers Swaddlers and silk flowers. They are very pretty and I love her motto “Choose Cutie Booty for the cutie in your life”

One of my favorite sites for information about great freebies has not been updated in a while. I have been searching for a new place to go and have found myself a new home. It is over at Mommies With Cents. This site has great information about freebies and giveaways. Mommies With Cents has become on of my daily stops and you should pay them a visit.

The Ultimate Blog Party

While visiting my favorite site I found some info about a blog party being hosted by
5minutesformom. This is the second year of the Ultimate Blog Party and it sounds like fun. You can discover other moms as well as get your blog noticed and network too. Another plus of the party is there will be prizes! I love the chance to win something. There are some instructions but they are pretty straight forward. Sorry Dads but this party is only for moms

Pre approved credit cards

I remember, as recently as October, how excited I would get when I got a credit card offer in the mail. I would get excited because it meant I would be able to go shopping. Even last summer I was applying for every preapproved card offer that was sent my way.I noticed today when I was going through all the mail, that I have been putting the credit card offers in the shred pile. Without even a second thought I am doing this. I am so proud of myself! I am really changing the way I think about money and credit.It may be a small step but it definitely is a step towards getting out of debt.
