Today the American Speech Language Hearing Association is hosting a Twitter event with Resourceful Mommy.  Speech related problems are very dear to my heart because my family has first hand experience dealing with it. The event takes place 2pm – 3pm EST. I have taken the pledge to protect my children’s hearing. I can not wait to participate in the event and learn as much as I can.  Hope to see you there!

So what do you think? I like it so far. The search bar at the top and the look who’s here on the left side of the screen is nice. I love the scrolling bar for trending topics. I think this will be more attractive to those who are not yet using it.

I have heard a little about Sponsored Tweets and have seen them on the tweets of some of my favorite bloggers. I admit I am a little curious about it myself. I mean I am not looking for a quick easy way to get rich overnight. But anything extra can go a long way, especially when it comes to double coupon Wednesdays!  Sponsored Tweets is pretty simple, it does not have a long drawn out process to go through. You can sign up through your Twitter account. Sponsored Tweets has a suggested price you can charge for tweets but if you do not think that is enough I am sure you raise the price.  Through your account settings you are also able to control what type of advertising you want to be shown, this way you won’t shock your family friendly followers with a bunch of  “mature” ads.  You can change your change your keyword, your category, choose how to be notified, even the type of ad you want. You can write it or have the advertiser write it. I would just have them do it. Less stress for me. I think I am going to give it a try. See if works.
