“Muppets Most Wanted” picks up immediately following the events of the smash hit “The Muppets,” as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and the entire Muppet gang head out on a world tour. But mayhem follows, as the Muppets find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine – the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog!

Muppets Most Wanted became available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD August 12, 2014. I have not seen a Muppets show or movie in years. I remember watching them all the time when I was younger. Miss Piggy and Gonzo have always been my favorites. Gonzo is such a funny little daredevil and Miss Piggy has loved Kermit forever.
Kayla and I recently sat down to watch it for our movie night and I was pleasantly surprised at how funny it was! Before long my husband, daughter and son came to see what we were laughing at and ending up watching the movie with us.
The “human” characters are just as funny as the Muppets. Ricky Gervais is Dominic Badguy (also known as Number 2).
Ty Burrell is hilarious as Jean Pierre Napoleon.
Tina Fey does not disappoint as Nadya the Prison Guard.
All the special guest appearances were great as well. I won’t tell you who they are because I want you to be surprised as well.
Of course there is lots of singing in The Muppets Most Wanted. It is all pretty catchy. I could not get the song “I’ll Get You What You Want” that Constantine sang to Miss Piggy out of my head.
Muppets Most Wanted is a great family movie. My son, TJ, is 14 and has watched it 3 times. The Blu-ray Combo Pack includes an all-new “Unnecessarily Extended Edition,” featuring 12 minutes of exclusive scenes not seen in theaters! Also included on Blu-ray and Digital HD are additional hilarious bonus features, including Statler and Waldorf’s version of the movie, and the laugh-out-loud gag reel, The Longer, Longest Blooper Reel in Muppets History. Make sure to watch the featurette “Rizzo’s Biggest Fan” and music video “I Can Give You What You Want,” performed by Bret McKenzie.
